My account was banned in POE2. How can I get unbanned?
Mine was just restricted recently with no rhyme or reason. I lost my friend on my friendlist and could not crossplay. Only by checking chat two days later it said something about account being restriced.

Since I've seen many reports of people getting banned and never unbanned, I want to share my own story.
I was mistakenly banned on 01.14.2025 for suspicion of RMT (which absolutely never happened). I immediately contacted support and posted on the forum—but I received no response anywhere. And then, after three weeks, on 02.04.2025, I finally got a reply from support. Aaaand... I was unbanned! No additional questions, no requests for extra information (I had already provided my account ID, nickname, and login in my first email). A clarification about the number of emails I sent: I did not follow GGG's recommendations and sent multiple emails in the same thread, adding extra details. I can't recommend doing this, as it didn't seem to have any effect (whether it delayed the response, I don't know). But overall, I’m adding a small redemption point to GGG’s reputation because I did get a response, and I did get unbanned. I'm happy. Time to donate thousands of dollars to the game. Also, a piece of advice for both veterans and newcomers: Only write relevant messages in chat. Don't joke, don't brag—just stick to the point. Otherwise, you might end up waiting three weeks for an unban. |

" Technically you can get it unbanned by reaching out to their support. In practice you cannot get unbanned as their Support department is not handling enough tickets in enough time. Several of us have been waiting for around 2 months (!) to get help. You should regard your account as permabanned. |

I experienced the same thing. Banned for making a stupid joke, ban was supposed to last one day but now it's been almost a week and my account is still locked. Told the support to actually look into my account to see that no such trade transactions were ever made and while they usually reply to the e-mail immediately, there are of no help. I find it comforting that there are at least other people who experienced such treatment and I find it quite frustrating that they are actually banning people without verifying whether the rules were actually broken. Imagine going to prison for 20 years because you joked about committing a crime. Yeah, joking about such stuff is bad but so is punishing someone who's spent over $100 on the game without any proof.

" Yes to this. I was recently muted in chat for SARCASTICALLY joking against a scammer in chat. Good thing it's only 24 hours, but my ego is hurt after spending money with GGG. Best advice. Don't engage in chat at all. If you do engage, just keep it simple. It doesn't matter if your intention is pure, or what not. Last edited by BigBoom9240#8803 on Sep 15, 2025, 5:26:35 PM
