What you didn't show is the modifier on our map. Look at the numbers:
it was like ~200% drop lol

Because I'm off meta in SSF HC and I can't run a map with 80 modifiers?

You need a lot of maps in the first place to roll them that crazy. If I get one t13 map finally and try to roll mods on it, every time I do it has a chance to brick the map.

An affix like 40% extra damage as chaos is too sketchy. Monsters poison on hit, too sketchy. 400% chance to freeze? F NO. Being frozen once will delete my 150 hours character.

So I get that t13 map and roll 3 or 4 mods on it and hope they give good waystone chance and are still runnable. I get maybe 120 - 250% increased waystone chance and run it on a map with a boss that isn't BS and get nothing but t10 maps. Yes my atlas is specced 100% into waystone sustain.

My gear sucks and my build is probably only average to decent so I can't run things like ritual or breach because they don't give me room to kite and I can't 1 tap 4 screens in every direction. I already lost a lvl 80 trying to juice maps and doing rituals.

It should not be a RNG privilege to fight the appropriate mobs. It sucked in poe1 as well but at least we had the orbs that let you reroll blues and Pick what maps you run. We don't have that in poe2 so if a map rolls bad ur done. Oh wait you can chaos them but that is also not sustainable because chaos are so rare.

I smash my face into my desk because I get shafted on the RNG trying to roll waystones. I smash my face into my desk every time I spend a million gold gambling and get complete trash.

Insult me if you want but I've always been decent at games and able to clear very difficult games with no guidance. The only time I use outside information is when I'm pushing high rank in competetive PVP games like starcraft or Guilty Gear. Poe1 + 2 are literally the only games I get to the end and don't understand what I'm supposed to do besides reroll Invoker/Stormweaver and bandwagon the meta. If this is the answer I'm not interested honestly, and if you're one of those people then I don't care to hear from you because all you'll have to say is 'skill issue' and not be able to provide useful information because you have none. You just copied someone else and call everyone noobs.

I also see you're at 100 hp lol, playing it real safe there bud. You're so 'good' because you play softcore meta and roll stupid maps without a care in the world, and come shit on people for not doing that.

What is the point of this post besides trolling people and showing off!?

Most of my maps come from map bosses. Without map bosses I get 0-2 T15 waystones per map, sometimes 0 for several times in a row. Probably I'd still sustain, but I wouldn't be able to discard bad rolled waystones.

This is a perfect example, thank you.

First off, 120% - 250% increased waystone chance in average should be enough to sustain.

The reason I like this post is because it shows one of the issues many players have. They choose the wrong difficulty for the current state of their character.

If you have a list with many affixes that can "brick" your waystone because of simply increasing the damage and you cannot do additional content like breach or ritual on your maps, that is the point where your character in its current form is not yet strong enough for that content and you should go 1-3 waystone tiers lower. When you go to lower tier waystones these affixes will not be an issue and you will be able to do the additional content.

Why do you try to run content, your character is currently not yet ready to do?

You are in the improvement phase. Where you have to farm for currency/items to improve your character.

I'm nor running content I can't do... I'm doing exactly what you said, I'm chilling on t12-t13 maps (not really a choice anyway) farming for gear. I'm also SSF so I've been grinding for upgrades for probably 100 - 200 hours at this point in maps.

I do the bosses and I don't mind damage mods. In fact damage mods are much easier than the ones that make the enemies tanky. Chaos dmg is a hard no because I have only 35% chaos res.

It's not that many affixes, it's chaos damage and anything over 50-55% increased HP. I don't like crit mods if I can avoid it because I could get unlucky and one shot, my ranger is life/es hybrid with pretty mid gear.

I'm at least smart enough to know my limit.

I don't know, if it's a problem that that many people are having it seems to me I'm not crazy. I'm glad you're dropping them like candy but it's not happening for everyone. RNG is a real (not the only one) factor.

You shouldn't need 500% increased waystone drop to sustain. I just did a t15 like an hour ago and got like 5 t 5-10 maps. why are t15 dropping t5!? If t15 can drop t5 then why can't t5 drop t15?

It's silly anyway, like do people actually enjoy rolling maps where the floor is lava and a midget kicks you in the balls from behind every 5 minutes?

Correct me if I'm wrong but you are all on trade league softcore zerging the game acting like everyone is dumb for having issues.

I usually just alch and go on my t15 maps without a problem to sustain them (not even using tablets). Do you die often? How does your atlas look? Do you clear the maps to less then 50 mobs atleast? Do you try to do more event map nodes? (like bosses, breach etc)
But honestly if you aint dying alot, atleast 3-4 mods on them, use some tablets and have a correct atlas setup there is NO WAY you cant sustain maps unless you did like 1-2 maps and then ran out cause that can happend with rng.

Except moving a few tiers down basically makes leveling up impossible especially with some of the cheap one shot mechanics which are completely unavoidable at times. The amount of currency drops to actually improve gear is completely broken with the slot machine crafting. I really don't know how a ssf character can even get good enough gear at lvl80+. You need to spend a stupid amount of ex just to maybe get 1 piece of good gear if you're lucky, then even more to make the waystones worthwhile.

Good for you though. Either you put 500 hours in so far and don't have a life, or you just copied someone's metabuild and used 1 click clear screens with 100+ rarity to get enough divines to buy and sell stupid expensive gear. Meanwhile the vast majority of players are having trouble sustaining. I've been stuck on t15 for over a week and I've had to buy several T14s for 1 ex each just to get almost no t14 and T14s dropped even with atlas maxed for waystones and 85% rarity. A couple cheese 1 shots here and there completely set me back for days

Don't focus on leveling when farming waystones then. It's not as difficult as you're making it out to be. you can take a t12 and run it in a corrupted + irradiated zone and come out with a handful of t14/15's. Focus more on adding content to maps then just +waystone drops. eg, 1 layer of delirium adds A LOT of enemies that can all drop waystones, so does a breach and shrines etc. I've got 0 atlas points in +waystone drops, 60% rarity and a quad tab full of t14+ waystones.
