Network lag makes poe2 unplayable
Hi!
Thank you for the good summary of the issue. I dealt with the same problem everyday around 5pm. I capped my fps ingame to 120 which helped now for weeks, BUT 2 days ago it started again. I was only able to assign one lag directly to a visual effect: The level where you drain the sunken city. Whenever I flipped a lever to drain a canal, the effect of the water decreasing triggered stuttering |

Experiencing the same, and the saddest thing is when this happens the map is esentially wasted as the game is unplayable. Instance reset solved the issue at least in the campaign but in endgame, instance reset is not possible.

played the whole day today. Everything perfect, no lags. But now at around 6:30pm. HUGE lags again.
Seems like the servers can't handle all the people playing after work. Or maybe to many use to high skilled breaches on endgame maps. In Patch Interview Video they talked about hundreds of error messages when there are to many mobs to spawn |
|
It's really hard to play after works in SEA time, during release, I still can play around 10pm, but now? It was fine during campaign, I can resolve the issue with creating new instance, but now? Omg it's really hard to even move.
I can play another game without any issue, but only this game that refuse to works |

It feels like some of the MAP server shards in EU are lagging more than others for sure. I simply do not play some map types anymore cause of spikes and high latency. This might also be an issue based on how badly maps are optimized atm.

Tried running instances of Forge and Hive a few minutes ago. Literally unplayable with lag spikes over 400ms.

" When you need to use a VPN to play, it clearly shows that the problem is with your internet, packet loss or the route it takes to the server. GGG has no control over which route your computer will take to the servers! |

Have the same issues on Texas server. Mostly after 3pm it is still spiking sometimes though the day but its worse during peak hours

Basically it's packet loss. and it's not huge but it's quite often.
Also some servers might be having it worse. We had to rent a VPN to be able to play with no issues. By setting it to be in Frankfurt where we connect to on poe. Barely any latency issues with a VPN. if there is some it's still a lot less annoying than having constant latency spikes over and over and over again mostly in the work hours. In the campaign we could solve it without VPN, by recreating the instance until we landed in one that had no latency issues, but it was annoying and it can't be done in maps. The most annoying part is that we are in the heart of the EU and all the servers are lagging around us and not sure why exactly. Talked to the ISP, submitted tickets they basically ignore it or they are [Removed by Support] who knows. They came out to do some "repair" but it seems like it was just straight up placebo and they either did nothing at all or the issue isn't quite so close to us. It's an ISP wide issue tho. Cuz all the friends that use the same ISP have these issues, but then ppl with different ISPs had 0 latency issues when we were suffering from it quite badly.. Im playing with a Friend.
Me, no lags, no FPS probs anywhere, playing on EU Milan. My Friend, who is running the same maps as me cause we play as a duo mf, is having extreme lagspikes since yesterday. Doesnt matter what server we take or which map we run, he is constantly lagging, not really able to controll where his char is moving |
