POE 1 a bit long topic to get into??

to digress a little, its quite interesting how there are some folk who have this idea that poe1 has always been centered around temp leagues.

if that was actually true, settlers would have ended last year and people would have been hyped for a new league release.

standard still exists.

heck if i still had love for poe1, i would be busy playing the hell out of settlers all the way.

in fact i was going hard on settlers all the way until the week leading to poe 2 where i slammed the breaks shipped everything out and quit cold turkey.

Honestly so true, PoE1 is not gone after all. Folks could play the heck out of settlers, settlerpolis or standard. But I guess there's always the folks that can't get a new league soon enough only to complain that the league is not rewarding enough, content is too hard, yada yada, or let it be buying the new free league mtx via several carry runs lol.

If someone enjoys PoE1 a lot they don't care about a fresh league, they would just play regardless and not be a gobber all the way and complain about not having a fresh league right away. But most of all players having a blast with PoE2 or other stuff at the moment, so not like it's a miss if they don't throw out a new PoE1 league right away.

yeah, i remember actually getting upset that a league ends. such as back in affliction and harvest. i was having so much fun.

ironically settlers is the most fun league in my entire poe "career" that i wish never to engage in again.

the level of fomo/addiction is way too high. no more "mobile" mechanics for me.

Idk dude. That statement made me super nervous though. Poe2 is so dogshit if they just don’t touch poe1 and it shuts down in a years time I’ll be so upset. Really really hoping for new league next month

We were lied to for years about what PoE2 really was. We are the stupid r's that threw them money because we thought our game would become better. Now we know they just used us to create a game we hate.

Well... I'm not throwing any more money. I hope for GGG their new players pay the bill. Actually, that's a lie. GGG can go bankrupt for all I care.

They wouldn't go bankrupt but in the case of not turning a profit for a certain amount of time, Tencent could nuke the management.

Because they want a crumb is that so hard to understand? GGG need reminding that PoE1 exists right now as despite having an installed customer base waiting to give them money they won't even give them the vaguest estimate of when their previously reliable release schedule might resume in any fashion at all.

GGG are absolute kings of creating data then acting on it as if they didn't create it and PoE1 is headed in this direction.

Personally I hope they get asked every fucking time they talk to anybody until they either shit or get off the pot. Either set a date and work on it or rip the plaster off and just tell everyone you are ditching it for new and shinier.

Edit: (Incidentally I realise they gave a very vague estimate when they announced PoE2s EA but that info is old compared to how things are shaping up)
