It looks like some people have problems with understanding the difference.

I personally hope they eventually change this. It is one of a few design choices that I just can't understand why they went with it. Most likely it's because of trade, but wouldn't it be just as good to tie everything to our account name rather than character name to keep things unique? Just my opinion, it's not a game breaker for me, just annoying, and it's literally the first thing you encounter.

yea... and lot of random combination get taken too.

I have a friend right now that has been trying all the names he's used (that usually get him in) and nothing seems to work. Honestly, i hope someone does steal your name so that when you go to make a character for a game you really want to play, you cant get in simply cause "KingExodusGG" is taken... maybe then you will see the frustration of cycling through names you dont even like just so you can log into a game!

Doesnt always work, 100's of names and still cant come up with one cause its always taken.

Seriously.... they aren't trying to "steal" someone else's name... I name my toon a handful of names. Sure they aren't "mine" but they are ones that if someone sees me in said game, they have a pretty good chance of it being me, and not some rando that saw my name on another game and decided that in this game, that im possibly not even in yet.. .they go and take it. So now... they stole MY Name.

We just want to name our toon... i literally just watched my partner go through so many names to just name a toon... some were so random it was horrible, even taking a name and translating it into chinese... JUST TO MAKE IT WORK. Thats sad. GGG needs to do better, made 2 yet having the same problem we had with 1, bullshit.

Add numbers to the end, something, but FIX IT!
