Joining the waiting room for 3.26

I can only imagine what lame excuse they'll come up with now for why 3.26 it's been delayed.

I never played PoE 1 and PoE 2 for me is really shallow game in terms of gear/char progression.
I plan on playing a berserker using cyclone in 3.26 but can anyone give any tips early on what to look out for? |

" The best tip you can get, is to not play Cyclone. The second best tip you can get, is IF you're determined to play Cyclone, do it as a DEX stacker using a unique jewel that prohibits you from using weapons (unarmed). Regarding leveling: Two-handers are probably the way to go (on all attack based builds), at least up until level 30-40. You get access to Cyclone at around level 28, and again, if you're determined to play it, two-hander and lifetap support is probably you go-to. Sometimes, just sometimes, you should really consider adapting to the world, instead of demanding that the world adapts to you. Last edited by Phrazz#3529 on Jan 22, 2025, 5:59:09 PM

" Thanks for the tips, is cyclone really that bad in poe? I wanted to play a build that resembles barb from d2 with whirlwind type gameplay, any other builds are good as berserker similar to frenzy in d2 maybe? |

" Back in Legion league, several years ago, Cyclone was the best skill in the game. So GGG did what GGG does and nerfed the hell out of it, several times. Mechanically, the skill is one of the best skills in the game, as it is one of very few skills that let you attack while moving. It is also the skill in the game with the most attacks per second. Now, Cyclone is mostly used for unarmed builds, using the "One With Nothing" unique jewel, or as a trigger for Cast on Crit builds. That said, if you really invest into an attack Cyclone build, it CAN do all content. Mechanically, the skill is one of the best skills in the game, as it is one of very few skills that let you attack while moving. It is also the skill in the game with the most attacks per second. Therefore, the damage numbers are... Bad. If you just want to have fun, go for it. If you plan on progressing to pinnacle bosses? Prepare to invest. Sometimes, just sometimes, you should really consider adapting to the world, instead of demanding that the world adapts to you.

" Similar to what Phrazz said it is difficult to scale Cyclone as a new player due to it being nerfed many, many, many times but it is still solid to play on a Duelist into Slayer or Champion Ascendancy. Maybe go full Physical Impale as a new player? If you can find a high Phys DPS Staff I would recommend Shockwave Support Gem for additional clear. If it is your first time playing PoE 1 then by all means have fun. You only get a be a noob once. Youtube - PartTimeExile
