Farming ritual is soulcrushing

I had it in mind to get ingenuity in ssf, its a 30% drop so it can't be that bad?

I have a full tree, 3 days ago I set up my atlas with the few tablets i have and other things to farm, I average about 1 invitation every 2-3 hours so around every what 20-30 or so maps?

I've found less ritual tablets in these 3 days than I have found invitations. Ive had incredibly shit luck and managed to not get the belt in 12 runs. But that isn't what is upsetting me now.

My atlas has no ritual anymore at all, I have no tablets, I didn't get a single one in 6 hours of farming tonight, and that means that its going to go from about 2-3 hours an invitation to around 6-8 because im having to travel to ritual nodes about 3/4ths of the maps im running now instead of maybe 10-20%.

Why are ritual tablet drop rates the same for breach etc? When you have 99% less mobs density in comparison?

I just feel defeated at this point, I dont mind the shit luck, I dont mind it taking 30 maps to get a single invitation, but without tablets I just can't do it anymore gamers. Feel like the past 3 days have been a complete waste because I could have been focusing on breach and gotten significantly more XP and loot, and now I'm just basically soft locked out of doing ritual at any kind of meaningful pace anymore.

Also it might help if the belt wasn't so good it literally invalidates any reason to run anything else in that slot. Same with HOWA on any attack build.

Spoiler

2 days after this post and 5 more fucking invitations.

Tablet drop rates have got to be buffed, I'm swimming in literally every other league mechanic tablet to the point where I don't even pick them up if they aren't at least 7+. I don't even think the statement that I've found more invitations than ritual tablets is hyperbole.

Non hardcore no lifers are also going to be completely demoralized from trying to find an invitation, it takes like almost 3 hours on average with a good endgame build clearing fast to find one of these things with a FULL atlas tree, which really matters because without a full one ritual is pretty dogshit, you get significantly less tribute, less rerolls, and less invitation drops to the point where it would probably take 3x longer to find one without 8 points, probably 6x longer if you build sucks. So the barrier to entry for this content is just massive, and even after getting there its a gigantic complete RNG gated slog unlike breach which is steady work towards a stone. I spent one night maybe 6-7 hours without finding a single one.

After all this grinding, and this many invitations I've found a single annulment omen, which are the only ones that are worth a damn in terms of deterministic crafting, and without having many of these the chances of first hitting the mod(s) you want on prefix/suffix, and then exalting the one you do want as are pitifully low for these things to be this rare. I don't think they should drop like candy, but nearly 40 hours of farming with a full tree on a good build shouldn't be only producing 1, the upcoming increase is going to do nothing to fix that, 60% increase or whatever.

In the countless amounts of shop rerolls I've done I've only found 3 items of note, a very good quarter staff with like 188% inc phys that I was lucky enough to slam T6 flat and atk speed on, and then of course blew up with a vaal orb, 2 OK rares (by SSF standards), and a couple mid tier uniques.

After getting this belt I'm just not touching ritual ever again, its tedious constantly checking 3 tabs of garbage every map, and the chance of getting an invitation are abysmally low. I'm beyond relieved to go back to focusing on breach and expedition.

Don't worry, theyre buffing drops by 60 percent. What's 60 percent of a 1 percent drop chance?

The beatings will continue until morale improves.

Ya and I don't understand the point of any of the crafting omens besides annulment and whitling. They are not deterministic, and just save you currency basically, which even in SSF you are absolutely swimming in exalts etc.

I get more crafting will come with new mechanics, but even so if the prices and rarity of these 3 omens stay where they are (10+ div) then it will never be worth using them for 99% of players why the in hell are you gambling that much currency on already bad odds, on a item probably worth less than the omen itself.

It creates a system were these are only usable on like near mirror tier gear by any rational actor.

Makes sense.

Did you even read?

Its too hard to get tablets to farm this stuff, and the drop rates for the invitations are abysmal. Same thing for omens. If the belt was tied to breach or literally any other mechanic I would be able to attempt the boss like 2-3x more often.

Is ritual supposed to be this way?

I've never had any problems getting breach stones, breach tablets, log books, expedition tablets etc. I've never felt like I could spend an 8 hour session and get nowhere in that content. I get like 30 splinters? A breach, most maps will have on average around 2 of them, and i have enough tablets to run it virtually every map so it takes no time at all to go fight xesht. Logbooks are a bit harder, but not even on the same level.

You trade for the tablets.
as a melee/mace user i hate ritual.

not because its bad. but because in some super cramped up maps. running rituals becomes a deathpit where you go to die as all you have is a tiny ass room that you cant run from anything

It felt a lot better when i got chaos res capped, at least half of the ritual deal a lot of chaos dmg.
Use to see a lot of good items to buy. Now since recent "hotfixes" I dont see shit. Either RNG completely against me 50+ rituals or something got stealth nerfed.
