Path of Exile Trade Etiquette 101

If you have items listed for trade ===> Respond to requests!
Not doing so is wasting time of buyers.

If you just started a boss fight or are busy and know you won't be able to respond, do a quick /DND as soon as you can.

If you forget to /DND and are in the middle of a battle, It takes 2 to 3 seconds to press enter, type "1 sec" and press return at a moment where you can. This is well received by buyers as you took a moment to let them know instead of rudely ignoring them.

Unfortunately for the buyer, it has always, and for good reason, been the case that the seller has all the control. If the seller is not responding, move on. The only reason for you to be pissed off about a seller not responding is if the item is too cheap and you are salty to not get that good deal.

It is very often the case that pricing an item right AND minimizing time investment into pricing is difficult, such that you are not over or under pricing it or spending too much time pricing. Often people (myself included) will dump there stuff in a fixed price stash, like 20 ex or so, and if they start getting spammed for something, they can then grab that item and re-evaluate the price. Maybe the price needs to be adjusted a couple times before it is listed for an appropriate price such that the seller is happy to let the item go, and people are still willing to pay for it.

This is the nature of random mods and random mod values, there is never standard, known value. Often all a seller can do (without having to spend too much time researching a price) is to list low and slowly raise it, or list high and slowing reduce the price. This is the most time efficient way to sell shit. Often if you are not getting replied to regarding a request to buy, is that the seller does not want to sell it at that time, due to not being fully happy for the price, they are busy, they are afk, and sometimes perhaps they are trying to price fix. Regardless of the reason, just move the hell on with your game and buy something else.

What is up with sellers who persistently fail to respond to whispers for items they listed? It is usually for small prices of <1 ex. Why bother to list the damn thing if u can't be bothered selling it?
List for the price you are prepared to shift yer a..e for, if no one calls too bad, but this nonsense of listing something you don't wanna interrupt yer busy life for is foolish & destructive to the game.
