" Okay since reading is not one of your strong suits, let's break it down little buddy! Reading the Room (or Forum): If you’d bothered to read anything other than your own comment, you’d notice plenty of people reporting system freezes in addition to crashes to desktop. Freezes are when the entire computer locks up and has to be restarted manually. I didn’t need to explain that because it’s already been discussed by others. Since you missed it, I recommend this handy program to sharpen those reading skills: Learn to Read - Free Online Reading Program. Give it a shot, you might surprise yourself! Crashes vs. Freezes Tech 101: Let me explain this in terms even you can understand. A crash is like your TV suddenly turning off but you can still grab the remote and turn it back on. A freeze is when your TV locks up completely, none of the buttons work, and you have to pull the plug out of the wall to reset it. It’s not hard to grasp, most people over the age of 5 get it, so don’t worry, you’ll get there too. Even though they might look similar to you, here are the key differences between a kettle and a computer for you little bro! Kettle: A kettle is a simple appliance designed to heat water. It typically has an electric heating element that rapidly boils water for use in making beverages like tea or coffee. Computer: A computer is a complex electronic device used for processing, storing, and retrieving data. It can perform a wide range of tasks, from word processing and gaming to internet browsing and complex computations. And lastly the "dying hardware". If you've come this far that means you've made great progress on the learning platform, good job! Shouting "faulty hardware!" without considering the context is like saying "the sun must be broken!" because it’s raining. The damage to my USB ports didn’t happen randomly, it happened because the game forced repeated hard resets, which is a known risk for computers. This isn’t rocket science, which I encourage you to Google now that you brushed up your reading skills! :D Last edited by Reepy#3110 on Jan 10, 2025, 4:51:39 PM

Dang before this patch I finally had a smooth experience in maps. Now after this I am back to getting CPU spike stuttering. Not as bad as before but it feels bad to go from smooth to this again lol.

Loving everything but I hope we get a fix for the windows 24h2 multithreading problem because I can't play for more than a few minutes without freezing, but I'm absolutely dyeing to play this game.

I don't know if it will help anyone, but I've been experiencing the system locks since I got the game, and it happens in Dx12. I cant even run Vulcan, so that's a non-starter.
I've found that Dx11 is NOT optimal but it does not freeze my whole system and at worst I wind up crashing to desktop. I endure the stuttering, lag, and poor performance, but there is a distinct difference in being able to play or not. My system is nothing special, but performs solidly: 5700x3d 32gb ram 3060TI 1080P monitor with huge refresh rate (overclocked to 280mhz) Maybe try to set some of the settings down a smidge and run dx11 and see what happens? It might not solve the problem, but it cant hurt? |
