Greater jeweller's orbs are too damn rare

Playing on SSF (yea, i know that trade players don't give a shit about anything besides div/hr), lvl 88, T15+ maps -

ZERO (0) greater jewel orbs.

I've even got 2 perfect, but greater - none.

There's clearly something off in rates or drop tables, 5link shouldn't be such a pain in the ass to get.
At this point it's just ridiculous that fusing orbs are BY FAR more stable and affordable wat to get link upgrades than this new "system" (pure rng gated)

Sell the perfects and buy the 32ex greater orbs?

Yeah it's crazy, I am running T18 maps and have ZERO greater jewellers orbs on this character and have none left from previous characters. Imagine still being on 4 links in T17 poe 1 maps lol

The fact that you are farming T18 while being on 4 links should be a hint. The game isn't designed for you to be running around with 6-8 link items like POE1, those are for min/maxing.

yeah but I can't kill any bosses, I just have good clear and good defenses. My character is not OP at all and is actually struggling a bit. Greater jewllers are way too rare, I don't mind how rare perfect jewellers are, they should be late end game things worth multiple divs on trade imo.

Some builds are mappers, some are bossers.

Getting to 5 link is pretty easy with Vaal orb. Most of mine came from there. Take whatever gem you want to use, hit it with a lesser and then with a vaal. Normally in a few tries you'll get an extra link (sometimes it takes many tries). You can still level the gems up, but can't apply quality. A good trade off.

Irrelevant to the fact that the drop rates are horrible, though. The man is doing T15 maps, is level 88, and has seen zero of the drops to get a 5 link. And he's far from the only one.

Trade existing is not a viable excuse for GGG being bad at balancing things. They need to fix the underlying issues, rather than rely on the hack-fix that is trading.
