Secret: Why POE 2 was created.

To push people back to POE 1...

Where the ascendancies were horrible, but not THIS horrible.

Where EXP penalties were bad, but not THIS bad.

Where end-game was boring, but not THIS boring.

Where graphics weren't bad, but not quite as good.

Where boss fights were annoying, but not THIS annoying.

Where trade was broken and fixed with a bandaid website, just like it is here.

Where the first half of the game's maps are mirrored in the second half of the game's maps. (yes, both)

Where the campaign isn't skippable (yes, both)

Etc.

I feel like POE 1 is far superior at this point because even with as broken as it always was, it's not THIS broken.

I dont think there would be as much backlash and complaining if they would have been honest with us. Most of this was not tested. We are the beta testers.

Zooming through maps with an elon musk gear account is not testing. Its obvious trials and most of end game are balanced around 1 button builds with 100 div of gear.

We didn't pay to actually do EA where you make suggestions on the course the game takes as it proceeds through development. That's not GGG... at all. If GGG actually took the suggestions of the playerbase there would never have been a POE 2 because POE 1 would have been perfect as it was.

We're simply here to test for soft spots in their code. That's what we paid for.

But, but, but... It's early access! They are small indie company! They only had 12 years of experience from PoE1! PoE2 is a totally new game (not just a polished up PoE1)! The impeccably scripted, staged, and delivered early access announcement seemed so genuine and real!

It's a shame PoE2 is worse than PoE1 in every single damn way except production value.

What the hell is going on at GGG?

I thought this was a company built by and for gamers to make the best games possible? /naivety

PoE 2 is just Poe 1 endgame with an easier onramp to poach the Diablo player base.

i thought it was created because they are sponsored by youtube in some way

dont you notice the only time we can learn anything about this game is to go on youtube and watch videos about the game?

the only way to learn boss mechanics and how to fight it in on youtube because they only let you fight the map/citadel/endgame bosses 1 time only?

Can you imagine having POE1 crafting in this game? I'd never leave.

You're right though... All of the glory was removed so that John Fifa and Joseph Diablo will loosen their grip on their wallets.

Poe 2 was created because tencent wanted a new game. This should have stayed a poe 1 expansion.

This is early access. It's expected to be broken. Hopefully it improves over time.
