Playing with a Ranged char is playing in easy mode

Warriors in real life are usually dead if they get hit. They have to do a lot of midrange fighting before getting an opening to strike. POE2 needs better visual clarity on monster attack animations; the clearer they can make it, the more satisfying the gameplay will be for shorter range characters.
maybe its time we just embraced the twin stick shooter future and stopped holding the game back trying to humour an idea that cant work?


i say that half in gest and half serious tbh. 12 years they never 'fixed' melee in poe1, maybe when poe3 comes around they should just go all in and have all 12 classes be ranged with some melee hybrid options with the weapon swap system, so everyone has a gun and everyone has a melee weapon in a steampunk chaos enginesque twin stick shooter set 5000 years after the events of poe2?



i feel like dedicated ranged and dedicated melee are 2 different genres pretending they can exist in the same game to some extent, and all the experience we have so far is telling us at best its an extremely unbalanced struggle to accommodate the idea.
I love all you people on the forums, we can disagree but still be friends and respect each other :)
