Penalty of death -feedback

its simple

Dying and loosing the drops is a horrible feeling and it benefits no one, it only brings negativity to the game

Dying in a map means the map is lost completely despite there being 5 more portals

loosing exp is already a penalty of death and i am fine with that, the other 2 are NOT needed and it spoils the fun, it makes me hate the game rather than me enjoying it and that can easily be fixed

Dropped loot should stay in that instance despite you dying
Dying in maps should not remove all portals

for now i will put the game down and watch it either sprout into something beautiful or watch it rot as the problems isnt just the death penalties, they are just what bothered me last, call it the straw that broke the camels back

Let's be real.
In Endgame this game sucks hard.

95 % of all rare + Magic monsters spawn any crap on death.
And of course they are all onshotting you. And the explosions are not similar in size, no they are depending on the size of the monsters. So kill it and run at least 1 screen ahead, run back and take the bad loot (if there is some)

Guys srsly how is this even possible after 7 years of gameprogressing and the millions of datas from POE 1.

Before i started with POE 1 they told me: Gamedesigners from GGG are nealry masterminds. To be honest these oneshot and on death effects could be made by my little daughter with 2 years. This is not even close to good gamedesigning. It's just a way to say to the player: We have no clue how to design other mechanics , we are looking just for an oportunity that you are dying constantly, so the character feels unfinished because you are 95 and we need to make sure that you are not 96 in less than 2 month.

Bring mechanics which are exciting and interesting.

Besides the grimfeast / Meditation 12 k ES players.
They are sometimes lucky.

Recently i died in Ritual.
Chaos flowers, Chaos clouds, burning (under the chaos clouds) end exploding mobs in (not a joke) 98 % of the ritual zone oh i forgot the poison on every hit mechanic.
What i am supposed to do ?

Sorry they messed it up in everything. I love to play the game but man this makes me furious and srsly i can't understand why they designed a game more than 7 years and they are doing the same holy BS mechanics like in POE 1 with less armor / life Block values.

I ve lost 3 hours.
Guys i dont wanna bear that anymore.
GIVE me 1 Penalty but not 4 or 5 or 6.
Take the EXP from THIS Map but not 1 more.
And no other penalties !

Why you are wasting my time ?

If the game stays like that, i am out.
Play your game by yourself or with the POE1 2k playerbase.

For me personally losing xp is enough to rage-quit and is single worst punishment because it single-handedly reverses your progress, all other punishments are set backs that stop or prolong your progress, but does not reverse it in same sense as xp loss.

to me its the unique item that is laying on the ground, lets say its a unique utility belt, its beautiful it should be mine, but no its Deleted and all you can do is either be a masochist or be annoyed/mad and frustrated, how often do an ingenuity drop? ohh and what if it was a mirror on the ground

yea this 1 chance to do the map thing is bugging the most. all the people that i was playing with have stopped playing until that is changed and im about to be right behind them. its a great game dont get wrong. if i wanted to play a 1 death limit i would play hardcore but i dont want to play that so thats why im playing standard

i ended up quitting during my second walk through because of a unique drop right in front of me and was killed by a purple chaos bubble in the bushes.

3rd time that has happend, same with map and portals, no more, i am not finding this fun

It's just not fun. Exp loss is already bad enough, and they decided to just put in even more for some reason. Just give people back their 6 portals and don't delete loot or reset anything on death. This is a videogame not some hardcore e-sport.
I've only died once where I lost something that I cared about but as soon as I did die and lost something I cared about I didn't play again that day and it felt super bad.

I think I've only died in maps 5 times, once that I cared about and four times where I knew that I was "stupid" for trying Rituals with deadly layouts.

Knowing that I'm going to die isn't so bad for me ... Not seeing it coming, esp. on a semi-juicy map, is when it really feels bad.
Does feel terrible-- punishments should be wrapped in the current content youre doing and not extend to the previous hours you've played; if you've completed a map it should stay completed-- not subject to the void upon one invisible meteor, on death detonation or corpse explosions.

i dont think we will ever be rid of the unreasonable death mechanics
