CPU demand vs. other games

It seems to me that POE and POE2 are such high demanding performance hog games, my CPU temps are consistently 95-100 degC, whereas other games are 60-70 degC.

I do have a 1 year old gaming laptop so is this game so far out there for AAA style games where every time the temp stays at >95 degC for 4min or longer, the system crashes due to temp?

Is this a game issue, or is this only a 1-off laptop performance issue?

i was questioning this myself.. im on desktop i9 1400k sitting at a solid nonstop 78-87c but im sure they know if this issue.. and im using kryonaut thermal lol... soon switching to a full liquid cool build.
Experiencing the same here. POE 2 seems badly optimized. I haven't been able to play a 100% smooth game even on the lowest settings (which by the way looks like crap). There are areas which all of the sudden become laggy as hell, other run smooth.
Enough people have said their CPU runs kinda hot to assume its true. That said, it is EA and it is poorly optimized. That won't likely be a top focus for them till towards the end of launch like most other EA games out there that don't just use EA as an excuse for poor development.
It's game engine characteristic. I keep boosting off as I don't get any framerate advantage(5%). From 100*C to 70*C

I have a Ryzen 7900x3d and an RTX 4070TI Super with graphics maxed and get around 110 fps @4k and its running at like 10% cpu usage. So its fairly optimized at least for AMD chipsets.

The game is optimized I have an intel 8700k and its just running like it normally would.

User fault.

Poor OS maintenance/GPU driver conflict or worse.

The game isn't optimized however when it comes effects and additional object handling. Intel upscaling + dynamic resolution seems to be the only real answer for FPS consistency vs these types of hard lag spikes and shader loads.

It's nonsense what are you saying. The usage stat is useless here. You have to look at Wattage

Dont be angry at me, be angry at your potatoe. 47c is what the temp is running at, water cooled of course.

I have literally the same machine like you, LOL
Just kinda sad that you refuse to learn.
