PSA: New Players read and learn proper etiquette
Counterpoint:
GGG could put in an Auction House and remedy all of this. Glad PoE1 had a zeitgeist people followed. This isn't PoE1. |

While it is admirable to teach noobies the ropes of trading, there shouldn't be any ropes to teach. There should be an AH. Time to enter the 21st century!
That said, I wonder if people getting hacked from trading in POE2 will make GGG rethink their position on an AH. If they don't it won't look good. Last edited by jdp29#1389 on Jan 7, 2025, 5:52:40 PM

"Even Tujen keeps his item if your offer is too low. --------------------------- I'd add the following to the list: 1) When you make an offer, include it in the same message, with clear separators. For example: @seller Hi, I would like to buy your Big Iron Ring listed for 12 divine in Standard (stash tab "~price 12 divine"; position: left 11, top 10) ----------------> offer 11div + 50ex If you wait for seller to leave his map to give him the bad news, then you risk being added to his "ignore list". 2) For fresh listed items, don't try to haggle. 3) For items listed days ago, usually it's fine to offer 90% of the listed price, maybe even 80%, but don't go lower. Seller can accept your offer or not. Last edited by 6_din_49#4066 on Jan 7, 2025, 6:15:42 PM

" 1. Would be good but 90% of the time fools never read than they invite you, you go give them what you offered and they act confused. Uber annoying lol Toss a Chaos to your Leader
OH Red Maps a Plenty oh Red Maps a Plenty OHHH Toss a Chaos to your Leader |

All this BS goes away with a market board , Everquest, WoW, FF14 , and many others have solved this "modern" problem years ago GGG has a leg in the past and its just pissing people off with the lack of QoL.

I'm unlearning all of this until people whose life motto is "not bothering to stop mapping for less than 10 div" when they have 50 quad dump tabs for 1c-1d stop that shit.
I WILL blindly invite you. I WILL haggle in chance shards. I WILL spam trade while you're clearly in your stash. I WILL NOT have my currency ready and I WILL cancel so I can go to the currency trader to turn it into chance shards. If you take longer than 5 seconds to respond I WILL start spamming "?" You should have just taken the 30 seconds to sell me that 1c item, COCloneFTW. The world will rue your misdeeds. |

" This is so awkward sometimes, because in about a third of cases I crash while trying to port into the seller's hideout. But I usually let them know, and so far my sellers have been extremely kind to port to me or my hideout, or let me join them in town. Thank you, kind strangers! And thank you for the write-up Lunatic! |
|
" Of course! And yeah most sellers dont have an issue going to you in that instance, all about communication and being chill. Toss a Chaos to your Leader
OH Red Maps a Plenty oh Red Maps a Plenty OHHH Toss a Chaos to your Leader |

" Indeed. I still feel bad for putting someone in my ignore list because they stayed a while in my hideout and didn't accept the trade. And then I myself started to DC trying to enter people's instances. Karma got me lol. |

Solid post, thank you.
