Bleed is an in game mechanic and doesn't depend on uniques.
1st, bump.

Secondly, I played Bleed witchhunter until a tier 1 pinnacle and had fun; now I just wait for the next big patch. Others did even more by being better players. If paired with some poison dmg (which Bypasses ES and the build includes Ailment damage by default) then the existance of Energy shielded enemies does not make you cry... Too much.

If next patch someone feels like trying, I had enough fun and power to feel its at least a playable build!

This was answered in today's Dev interview.

Bleeding not getting through ES is an intended behavior and is considered a downside for bleed builds.
If they actually leave this in game like this i seriously have to question the devs ability to balance the game. Bleed builds are fully bricked then without an answer to energy shields the way they currently are in game.
