Given up on crafting in SSF
Im playing SSF and crafting is non existent.
My toon is currently lvl29 and ive found: 1 Exalted Orbs 1 Regal Orb (im disen to get shards) 0 Artificer Orbs 0 Chaos Orbs 0 Alchemy Orbs 0 Divine Orbs 0 Jewelers Orbs 0 Chance Orbs 0 GCP's 0 Vaal Orbs 8+ Augments 8+ Transmutes 5+ BSmith Whets 3+ Armour Scraps I thought they were "dialing it up a bit" with crafting currency?? Spoiling the game at present, and the loot is abysmal. Love the game though... |

Ive been trying and trying to find something with Chaos resistance that I can turn into a usable item, but its basically impossible and ive just given up and started another character. Those serpent enemies who fire poison beams from half a screen away just wreck my warrior..like its absolutely retarded how powerful those basic white trash mobs are, theyre scarier then bosses ffs. A group of 5 of them can aggro on screen from outta no where while im dealing with another monster or rare enemy and just one shot me, and honestly, im tired of it. You then lose the map key, lose the map mechanic and lose XP to top it off.
In my experience, and for whatever reason, chaos resistance is incredibly rare to find and I have yet to get a single piece of gear thats rolled it AND other worthwhile stats that would actually help my warrior build. It usually goes something like this " oh sweet, boots with 20% chaos res..annnnd light radius" Then if I even DARE to be foolish enough to expect a decent modifier using a regal orb the game will give me + to intelligence, or like 3-5 fire damage or something absolutely unexciting. So im assuming the only option for me if I wanted to mitigate chaos damage, which is absolutely overtuned and absurdly powerful, would be to equip those trash items with shit modifiers just for the chaos resistance. Weell I refuse to play that way, It feels super shitty to even think of doing that just to deal with those stupid poison serpents who launch venom at you from half a screen away. just check vendors and progress the campaign until you drop/buy from vendor a good base/item itself. Or even gamble for weakest slot (better keep in ilvl requirements for affixes you want to gamble spesificly at their ilvl).

" level 71... not even ONCE have i seen 25% movespeed so far :D well I have... on the trade website! hahahah Crafting is such a joke just like all the other mechanics so far it ain't even funny. I tried 'crafting' and the only feel i get is how it feels way too much like gambaling. POE had a ton more crafting options to the point where you could go craft and get something useful. In POE2 crafting feels horrible. I can't forget in early game how at some point me and my friend hit a spot where it was very hard to move forward because of one of the bosses so we had to improve our gear or get gud! Well guess what? Crafting wasn't an option because of the high price and too much bad rng. BUying items wasn't an option because there wasn't enough gold and finding items we equally ridiculous. You know for an RPG game the game feels horribly limited when it comes to actually getting/making loot that is useful to the point where right now all but 1 of the slots on my char are from trade! And the upgrades that I've got comparing to the items that i found is miles upon miles better. I was literally stuck with level20-30 items to the huge majority of my slots as a level 70 because there wasn't anything better that dropped for me or my friend that we play with. I checked the vendor at every level up and did all the 'right' things with 0 result. From what I can see... GGG nerfed drop chances nerfed mob counts nerfed a ton of stuff but forgot to make the loot more useful so instead of getting useful items every now and then you keep on getting trash item after trash item and don't get me started on the unique items I mean jeasus freaking christ talk about 100% totally useless items! " Gear progression throughout the campaign is a whole different topic and not whats been discussed in this thread! This is about crafting in the mid and mostly in the endgame! And not necessarily about the lack of crafting currency but more about the problem that even if u have plenty of said crafting currency, the odds to acquire meaningful upgrades with 4+ desirable stats are extremely low and there is no way to turn them in your favour. |

I wouldnt mind but I could see it being the case were loot would almost never drop in high end filters.
Jonathan might get angry if I dont have to leave my maps at least 3 times if there is a breach and dont feel any friction and weight. |

How about they add something where you can use a orb to remove a specific mod on a item, and place it on a different item single use? The Division 2 had something like this it worked pretty well.
This way you could for example transfer attack speed from one bow to the other, the destroying the first one in the process. I don't play SSF but I agree with what OP wrote, crafting feels kind of discouraging after getting shit rolls constantly. yeah, same as op..
removing vendor recipes. They added currency trade in standard, but in SSF, you can't change one currency in for another. This is terrible. Stacks of transmutes, you can't turn into augs. Removing alterations is horrible. stacks upon stacks of Bases in my inventory to try rolling. Unable to roll blue Jewel's. forcing you to go farm trial. awful. letting you reroll the blue mod's to start with 2 good ones, and RNG on the others is much better. Essences. they learned nothing and are probably WORSE then before. whats the point of this targeted crafting if they never show up? these should be literally 10x more frequent. also, add story/lore for them. omens are solid, need to be more common, and not blocked behind such a cancerous league mechanic. They SHOW us ritual in act 1... but then we don't see it again till maps. and there isn't a guaranteed omen in that first ritual. there should be. we should be getting ritual's throughout the campaign. AND omen's should be showing up in EVERY ritual reward. there's 17 kinds of omens. even if 1 or 2 showed up every time, that would still be a ton of farming to collect various amounts of them all. Map gen around ritual should guarantee room to actually do it. spawn mechanics for all the boxes, ritual, delirium, breach need to be addressed, so you dont' have invisible spawning body blocking/pushed into walls nonsense. that kind of nonsense locks crafting/building into certain meta builds.
