While this is not confirm, I suspect if you avoid taking that relic from within the treasure room, you won't have this issue.

Stop spreading this misinformation. This bug has happened to 1000s of people and one or two similar experiences is not even worth talking about. If you want to parse through every single person's boon/afflictions/builds/settings and find some correlation amongst all of them then go ahead, but this is almost certainly an entirely backend issue as the error message suggests. Just stop spreading this misinformation as if an individual experience could possibly correlate to the source of the bug. It's absurd.
