There is a purpose and here is a hint....its not GGGs fault that you died. Get good buddy. Every death is your fault.

Got swarmed in breach and died? Learn the mechanic


1 death per map makes every map important and to keep you engaged. If you want 6 deaths a map...go play POE 1 were you can take all the skill out of the game and just face smash shit while looking at your excel spreadsheet to figure out how to get 1,000,000 dps


What mistake is made when playing in a group and the other players spell effects are masking any telegraphed one-shots? As a melee class, should I just stand aside and do nothing? Should I tell my real life friends that GGG isn't responsible for making the spells cover up things that can kill me, so I can no longer play with them? I watched a friend deal with extra long loading times, to die to a swarm of mobs at the portal entrance of a map. I guess maybe he should have gotten better at playing the loading screen. There are many reasons why the mechanic should be changed. None of which would affect your ability to play the game.

the issue here is poor game optimization (even monster PC's have bad performance on low settings even in solo play) and also they removed the immunity when you zone into a portal. but then again poe1 was disgusting to look at and generally unbearable in party play also...

No point in trying to talk to people like that guy. They don't want to listen.
People that don't like on-death-effects, people that don't like 1-death-per map, people that don't like XP loss on death - in the opinion of people like that guy should leave PoE completely.

We should be striving for a compromise, where we both get what we want, like a different game mode, or a togglable option on the map device or an atlas passive for these sorts of options, but they don't want that.
They want to be elitists, they want the "weak, stupid noobs" to quit, because in their mind it makes the game better? Somehow? If the population drops to like 5k players total, that's what they want. Those 5k will be REAL GAMERS, not chaff like the casuals that want to dirty down the game for the pros.

I propose these true gamers like RK try a new challenge mode. Lets do say "HC, SSF, No Sound, No UI, 680x240 resolution, Only One Button on your keyboard works and it can't be the Space Bar, You must have a massager strapped to your mouse hand set to maximum at all times, 8000DPI, When entering boss room your monitor randomly turns off every 5-15sec for 1-5sec, No flask, No Charm" - Challenge!!!
