POE2 - Temple of Kopec - Cruel Difficulty - Checkpoint Issue

Game is ignoring the checkpoint next to the boss area. Not sure if specific to this map, or if it can happen anywhere.
I have all 3 checkpoints 'unlocked', but can only teleport to the first or second floor. If I click on the boss area checkpoint, it takes me to the first floor. Steps: 1. Enter Temple of Kopec, and work you way to the boss, unlocking all 3 checkpoints. 2. Either die to the boss or try to travel between the checkpoints on the map. 3. I can confirm this bug has happened to me. Standard League - Normal before Cruel Difficulty. Upon dying in the boss room the checkpoint defaults back to the first floor checkpoint and I am unable to travel to the boss room checkpoint.
The boss room checkpoint (when selected from either 1st or 2nd floor) will warp the player back to the first floor CP. Warping to 2nd floor CP works as expected - have to re-run the 2nd floor just to get back to the boss. If this wasn't my 2nd play-through I'd be extremely upset lol. I also have the bug, in normal difficulty.
Moreover, loosing the battle against the boss puts me back at the beggining of the Temple (ie. first checkpoint) instead of the 3rd checkpoint. Bug: #2015660627 |

I just got this bug on normal, my first playthrough. Had to reset the instance in order to fix it.

This bug is persistent on my play through and resetting the instance or back out of server does not seem to fix the issue. I can warp between 1st and 2nd checkpoints but not to the boss checkpoint. When trying I am warped back to the main entrance on the first floor.

I have the bug as well on cruel. very annoying going to try to reset the instance like someone suggested and update if that works.
