Don't skip the white loot
" PoE 1 and 2 Evasion has a thing called entropy... no matter if we stack enough to have 100% Evasion rate, one hit will connect after sometime (and usually is the OHKO) - https://www.poe2wiki.net/wiki/Evasion Last edited by Fhrek#4437 on Dec 30, 2024, 3:39:56 PM

" Regarding Evasion question. So you have Evasion Rating on your character sheet, this is represented with raw numeric value. And when you take an ADDITIVE passive node (Increase Evasion Rating by 15%, in this case) - you are ADDING 15% to your raw Evasion Rating. - So, let's say your character has 1000 Evasion Rating and this translates into Dodge Change (the percentage Evasion you see at the top of your character sheet). - Let's say, with that 1000 Evasion Rating you get 23% Dodge Chance (or, simply 23% Evasion on top of character sheet - because Evasion this is basically Dodge). So when you take that Increase Evasion Rating by 15% ADDITIVE passive node, what you actually get, is: Evasion Rating = 1000 + (1000 * 0,15) = 1150 Evasion Rating In PoE 2, 1% of Evasion (Dodge) equals roughly to 44 points of Evasion Rating on Level 70 Character. So in this example, ADDING 15% to Evasion Rating actually would result in getting (150 / 44) = 3% Evasion. Actual values might differ based on your character level and the amount of raw Evasion Rating that your character has, but you got the point. So getting a bunch of those Increased by 15% nodes - it is good, but each node is not doing THAT much of an impact for you to notice it. Just based on feedback from different players, you actually notice the Evasion once you get to like 65-70%+ Evasion, and just a few percents here and there are not going to do much. |

" I’m glad there are smart people like you who exist to help the noobs out. I appreciate the breakdown and won’t be worrying so much about taking mote evasion as of right now since I am at 75. |

But if you want to stack the Evasion and make it more useful - there is also Acrobatics notable on passive tree.
By default, Evasion only works against melee hits and projectiles. Acrobatics make it work for everything except for damage over time (Bleed, Poison, Ignite, etc). It is basically upgrading your Evasion to bring more value to the table, but it comes with huge penalty of 70% LESS Evasion rating - so you gonna need to stack really a lot of Evasion and Evasion only for this thing to work. But it will come with benefit that you would have a chance to evade dying from explosions, for example. |
