The fanbase has growing, valid concerns. When will we know future plans for POE 2?

Is Tencent going to manhandle the design to optimize profits or will you guys be doing everything in your power to make this game fun AND profitable?

Are there grand ideas to make itemization better? Are we only seeing the EA version of various systems?

What's the plan? Do we have to worry?

There is so much good will built up, but there are real concerns this community has regarding the future of this game that has so much potential, but is showing several warning signs.

Will you guys be building up the greatest Exile-like of all time? Or are we going to get more failed design experiments trying to create bizarre chance driven action gamble mechanics to mirror the gamble mechanics of loot?

They're on vacation. I think that even the unhappiest people posting here don't want to rob them of that bit of rest.

I think they'll be back after New Year's.

For now, as far as I've seen there's one guy, who I can only assume drew the shortest of sticks this year, who's monitoring the forums to make sure we're not like... selling drugs here or something.

Don't worry. They'll be back.

I didn't PM anyone on their work account FFS.

This is one of the greatest ventures of these guys' lives. I can ASSURE you some of them are still living and breathing this game right now. There is no need for a lecture on affording the entirety of this team a vacation.

Engaging with fans, and allaying fears is one of the lighter elements of creating a game, it's also one of the most important.

Anyhow, I celebrated Christmas with my family yesterday, I'm about to get back to work.

The devs have worked like crazy the last months, give them time to breathe man and spending holidays with theyr families.

Yes it's true that parts of the game are to easy atm (esp mid-tier maps) and some skills overtuned, but the majority of the game works perfectly fine (no major issues for me in the 200+ hours I've played so far) and those few balance changes to bring overtuned skill on par with the balanced ones can surely wait few weeks. ;)

A simple video explaining "We see the concerns, big changes are coming, and X and Y are planned on on the way" would do a lot of good.

Would take 10 minutes to make.

You can't buy fan good will. You can only earn it.

No one is demanding it RIGHT NOW, simply saying that addressing rising issues would help. Don't really care if people call this petulant.

The early access has been out for some time. We want to hear from passionate devs that they are eager to fix the game and make it better and to hear their motivations.

The fear that the game is going corporate and ulterior motives may sway future development is a tangible issue that would be eased if we were to hear from the developers and they have great plans for the future.

Why oh why would any company drop a product then go on "vacation"? I understand it's Christmas and New Years and such but cmon you can't sell people someting and then poof for 2 weeks with no words for the community.

The silence is not a good sign. If they were passionate and wanting to just give the players what would be most fun it would be easy to come out and reveal future plans and that optimism for them.

The longer the silence lasts the more it feels as if corporate strings are at play.

This is a very important game. Fans are protective of it in this world gone mad by corporatism and nihilism.

People want aspirational and good entertainment, it's wroth fighting for. And for what it's worth I had a great Xmas with my family as I hope GGG did.

It's time to get back to making this a great game.
