Low Xp in maps?

what kind of XP is everyone getting? i'm only getting around 3% Xp in t15 maps at lvl 89...before you hit 90 xp shouldnt be this bad....are people not meant to reach high levels in this game?

Yep. It feels like crawl. At least I feel much safer in maps that I did in PoE1. Slow but more guaranteed leveling.

In poe 1 we had so many mecanics that gave us xp that it feels way slower but if you go poe 1 and do one t15 map without anything fancy you most likely get about the same amount.

not at lvl 89...in poe1 xp starts to slow down at around lvl 95. getting to 90 is a breeze.

It is now; it went through many iterations of mechanics to get to this point. It used to be capped earlier, slow down earlier, and so on.

It's not much of a surprise, GGG trying to slow down the game a lot is pretty par for the course for PoE2.

This isn't PoE 1. Here you have to work for your level 100.

Unhide your profile so you can show off your level 100s in poe1? Wouldn't want people thinking you were talking out of your arse and not from firsthand experience would you?

Waystones can have up to +40% xp and precursor tablets can have +10%, also tablets can have an overlapping effect. That combined with extra packs and +2 to level on maps can probably net you some decent xp at higher levels (I don't know though, I'm only level 87)
It's a fresh game without all the years of layered stuff and free handouts.
Obviously leveling is going to feel similar to how it used to be in PoE1 years ago lol.

But tbh someone who's already filtered by early endgame shouldn't complain too much about mid nor late endgame.
Flames and madness. I'm so glad I didn't miss the fun.

It sounds like a lot, but it isn't. You're multiplying an incredibly low base number by the time you get into the 90s, because of the level difference multiplier by that stage. PoE1 ended up supplanting this issue with increasingly available routes of higher level enemies and content, as well as some truly ridiculous density/xp modifier events far higher than this. These simply don't exist in PoE2 yet, as well as the base multipliers for level difference being inherently more punishing too.
