error “missing socketed skill” in the “elemental invocation” skill

If you go to say 'elemental' page and pull spells from there when using your skill gems, and unlock for example, 'orb of storm' or 'Spark' you can slot them into the socket on elemental invocation, you can do this with any skill that has spell at the top of the description. Hope this helps

I had the same issue, you have to use a SKILL GEM and create a skill (I did ball lightning) and put the SKILL GEM into the CAST ON SHOCK skill like a support gem.

You most probably did remove the spells you support out of the buff spell and assigned them to a weapon set - make sure weaponsets are set all to the same (buff spell and support spells=

Solution: You insert a skillgem (instead of a supportgem) inside and voila it works.. its not a regular gem but a meta-gem. It IS explained but I guess its a bit poorly explained.
It doesnt globally trigger but trigger on a skill inserted on that Meta-gems support-skill slot among other support kill. Bit messy designed imho, but thats how it is. |

Put " Arc " Spell on slot, it will fix

Had the same problem with cast on freeze. turned out you just need to add the skill gem you want to have casted on freeze in the support slot next to it.
