Unable to invite or party with others (poe 2)

Looking for help with understanding why I'm unable to invite or party with other players in poe 2 (note: I either am unable to invite the person, or can invite the person but cannot be in the same zone). I am an experienced poe 1 player so I understand how, but I'm flummoxed as to what's going on.

I'd like to do some trading so any help would be appreciated : )

I can be invited, but cannot invite, for some strange reason. I played POE1 in the past and never had problems. Any Steam setting that could be preventing?

Same here! For every trade, I have to ask the person whispering me to invite me. No idea if I need to change something in the settings or what’s going on?

Guys, if you are using another platform, too, please ensure that you are enabling the cross platform play on it. After that it will be available for PC, too. I changed my settings on PS5 to enable cross play and after that it was fixed for me on PC.

Same here and cannot solve this by my own.
There is no possibility in pc version to change anything for crossplattform

You can workaround this by typing in chat /invite [BuyerIGN]

having the same issue. Cannot invite or be invited.
using /invite has no effect.

Just wondering if you all are using POE2 Overlay addon? I have the same problem with being unable to invite to party. I closed the POE2 overlay and invites seem to be working ok, but time will tell..
