0.1.0e Patch Notes

Mucho el hypo!
Thx
FIX for Users?!

For those of you who may be experiencing bad lag/stutter/input lag every 2-3 seconds in the endgame maps hub or in any of the maps. Here's what I did to fix the issue:

1. Deleted shader cache and set shader cache to 100gb limit in the appdata folder. Found here: C:\Users\Username\AppData\Roaming\Path of Exile 2\ShaderCacheD3D12

2. Changed global/local chat to a random different number "9090". This is an old bug from POE 1 days that maybe contributes to issues.

3. Went into Nvidia Control Panel and adjusted the following settings under Adjust Image Settings:
1. Use/Check NVIDIA settings for edge enhancement and Noise Reduction
2. Disable/Uncheck Deinterlacing and RTX Super resolution.

4. Updated my Xbox controller using X-accessories app. Potential fix for those with input lag.

Prior to these fixes, I had massive lag/stutter after the recent patch (0.1.0E). My GPU was freaking out and would jump from 20% to 50% utilization every few seconds. It appeared like lag/stutter and input lag from my controller. Now, the game appears to be stable and working great!!!

Other things I tried that didn't help or were not the fixes (keep in mind i tried the following before I tried the above fixes. The below steps could still be helpful to perform):

1. Made sure my graphics was up to date. It was.
2. Changed graphics settings to low across the board. Made things worse!
3. Disable/enable Vsync, triple buffering, DLSS, etc. No changes and made things worse at times.
4. Restarted steam/computer. No changes.
5. Verified my motherboard was up-to-date. It was.
6. Tried my 1080p monitor versus my usual 3400:1400p monitor. No changes.
7. Verified game files. No changes.
Thanks GGG!!!

I would like to thank you for all the nerfs to builds I have made with no build giude. I jsut get on and im nerfed. You have now hit my latest build when you Upped the lvl REQ of my amulet. (Wasnt in patch notes).

Why change the level req of an item An item that was 52 too 78 Now i cant even use it.

My spirit for Playing another class just makes me depressed....

I fear if I make another toon if will be nerfed before I make it to maps again...

To everyone else: Watch out they arent putting this stuff in the patchnotes...
Please remove the 1 life mechanic in maps. We already lose exp. It doesn't feel good or fun to be one shot by something unavoidable off the screen.

So where is the "leech"? Is that bug already fixed or not yet?
Leech is still not working at all, after the hotfix "leech buffed"

=====
updated. leech is fixed.

I have noticed no difference and am still not getting any life leach regardless of skill, slot, item or passive. C monk, not yet speced to darkness. Phys damage only tested 0 leech. Was it stated fixed or tested by you? If tested by you could you share some details? I feel like im going crazy trying to figure out if this is a bug or if i am not understanding leech correctly or missing the point.

Thanks for any help.

Many good changes here, thank you for your work!
However, it seems that in a patch that was supposed to buff many underperforming skills / Ascendancies you missed a lot of them. Here are some of the noticed ones from Sorceress and Monk trees:
- Cast on X effects were overnerfed and now often not worth their 60 or even 100 Spirit cost. Need a buff, especially against common (white) and magic (blue) enemies.
- Cold spells (maybe excluding Comet, Cold Snap and Ice Wall) need buffs. Frostbolt and Frost Nova deal underwhelming damage and you have just nerfed their freeze buildup via making it harder to refreeze enemies. Frost Bomb is decent, but now that you can get Cold Exposure from support gems without damage reduction its viability was reduced. Eye of Winter deals too low base damage and requires tons of gimmick buildup for quite low payoff compared to many other builds. Comet trigger effect is also bugged(?) and requires 300 Energy to trigger when it is supposed to cost 200 matching the cast time. If it was an intended nerf - it should be stated somewhere in patch notes or tooltip and might need to be reconsidered.
- Monk physical damage skills need (more) buffs. Whirling Assault does low damage and makes you very exposed to stuns / damage. Wind / daze skills have decent basis, but low damage and scaling in passive tree (which has quite low amount of physical damage scaling nodes compared to elemental).
- Acolyte of Chaula needs a lot of help too. Its chaos damage scaling is limited and most importantly - only physical damage can leech, so building leech build on it is suboptimal as requires both using undertuned physical damage skills to even have leech and specializing in 2 entirely different damage types (which have minimal to no synergy unlike ice / lightning builds that can be both scaled by elemental damage nodes). It could use an ascendancy specific or even general node to make leech happen from chaos damage too and buffs in general.

Good words here.
I took the opportunity to create a very good summarize of all the posts in this thread.

Summary of Patch Feedback

This summary consolidates key themes and concerns expressed by the community regarding the recent patch. It highlights positive feedback, recurring issues, and suggested improvements to foster constructive discussion.

"
1. Positive Reactions to the Update

Many players appreciated the patch for addressing bugs and implementing quality-of-life changes.
Numerous posts conveyed holiday well-wishes and praised the team for their quick updates.

"
2. Major Complaints and Recurring Issues

Class Balance Concerns:

Warrior and minion builds faced heavy criticism after nerfs, with many players describing them as "unplayable."
Calls for buffs to underperforming classes like Blood Mage and certain Monk skills were common.

Skill Adjustments:

Complaints focused on nerfs to specific builds such as Wildshards, Armour Explosion, and Skeleton Arsonists.
Perceived imbalance where some overpowered builds (e.g., lightning-based Monk builds) were left untouched.

Map and Ascendancy Trials:

Frustration over the single-life mechanic in maps and the difficulty of Sekhema trials, particularly for melee and controller users.
Requests for a more accessible mapping system and fixes to map-related crashes were frequent.

"
3. Technical Issues

Persistent PC crashes, especially with Windows 11 updates, remain a significant problem.
Reports of performance issues, including stuttering and freezing, especially in maps.
Console players expressed frustration over the lack of optimization and loot filter functionality.

"
4. Gameplay and Design Critiques

Concerns were raised about the balance between making builds viable and nerfing enjoyable mechanics.
Frequent calls for better minion AI and pathfinding, as well as more impactful buffs to weaker classes and skills.
Discontent with stealth nerfs (e.g., level requirement changes to items) and the perceived increase in grind.

"
5. Suggestions for Improvement

Buffs to weaker skills and ascendancies: Examples include crossbows, frost spells, Blood Mage, and Acolyte of Chayula.
Map system enhancements: Improved checkpoint usability and fewer random penalties in trials.
Technical fixes: Address persistent crashes, optimize console performance, and provide loot filters for all platforms.

"
In conclusion, while the patch has been commended for its scope and timeliness, the community has voiced significant frustrations about class balance, technical instability, and build viability. Addressing these issues could significantly enhance the experience for all players.

We hope this summary provides a clear and constructive representation of community feedback.

Finally I would like to finish with a graph

Posting to confirm Acolyte of Chayula is still dogwater. Why buff any of Monks' elemental capabilities/add more elemental nodes to their tree when it clearly isn't the Elemental side of the class that needs help?

What reward does a Chaos monk get for using chaos skills over their elemental-specced Invoker buddy?
noice! Waiting for Hexblast fix to explode all curses. Put Chayula monk back to the oven, a little undercooked <3. Thanks GGG,
