POE2 Spark bug

I'm currently experiencing a bug while casting a spell "Spark". Projectiles often does not release while moving. Also, projectiles does not chain from the terrain if my character stands close to terrain and ts seems they just dissapear. This happens most in narrow passages and corridors

If its have any influence, my support gems are: Controlled destruction, Arcane tempo, Considering casting and Inspiration. Cast time is 0.25
My initial thouth was that this bug occures becouse of short cast time, but it seems like other players doesnt have that issue with even shorter cast time.

having same issue
Same happening. It's not just an input lag or latency. After a patch noticed some strange behaviour, when you are spamming sparks - they just do not release. I have 20 lvl stone with 20% quality - I know and I can see the difference on how it should look like. And yeah, it's not a terrain/obstacle issue when you see you sparks dissapear after a while. Long story short, instead of firing 17 projectile per use, I sometimes see only 2-3! J_J

This behaviour happen to me only in a combat. When checking on an empty zone - everything is normal. And, of course, the dps is going waaaaaay down with this bug, cause you just not damaging the mobs. RIP.
I had the same issues. I just replaced the gem spark whit a new one and the issue is gone. Try this guys.
Changing the gem doesnt fix this issue. My best guess that its happening because of my weak GPU (gts 1050Ti), when a lot of mobs on the screen, and especially a rare mob dies (fps drop to 20-30). Hopefully i'll get a new GPU soon -_-
I am having the same issue. It is not like they are just invisible and the animation is not rendering but they are actually not getting created. When the density in the area goes down due to the bug, monsters stop taking as much damage.
Same issue here, how much sparks you guys got? I am at 6 Sparks per Sec. that prob. break thinks for me.

It's not a GPU issue. I have the same issue with a 4090.
Yeah, after changing GPU to rx7600 the issue isnt fixed, so its defenetly not a hardware related problem.
GGG plsss fix the game, most popular skill just do not work for 3 weeks already
I'm having the same issue, and with similar situations where it starts occurring. I'll have a normal amount of sparks when engaging a pack, but at some point during the fight I will start outputting between 2 and 5 per cast instead. Not casting and waiting for many of the existing projectiles to despawn usually corrects it, but it will often come up again mid-pack on the next fight. However, I've had it happen even if the fight is only with a single mob (usually a rare or a boss) and persist on-and-off through the entire fight. I haven't worked out yet if a particular ground type makes it more common, but number of effects/enemies on screen don't have much bearing on the frequency of the bug, at least in my experience.

I only started noticing the bug after getting my cast speed and spark level above a certain point, around act 2 cruel with around 0.35s cast time and 8ish projectiles. It's possible that extra projectiles only go missing after a certain number per cast, or after a certain number on screen. It has become much more frequent as I get geared and into maps.

Wider areas seem to make it more common, as I've almost never noticed it happening in tight hallways or rooms. Open maps or large rooms/arenas are where I notice it most, but I can't confirm beyond a doubt that it's only happening there. More compact areas make sparks stack up to the point where it's difficult to see how many projectiles I get from each cast.

It sometimes looks as though it's only visual, with enemies taking damage from sparks that aren't nearby. Other times, my damage seems far lower than it should be until I stop casting and restart with full projectiles. With how unpredictable sparks are in any larger area, I haven't been able to tell if there are some invisible sparks in my casts or if the projectiles genuinely aren't present.

Casting straight into a wall when next to it always eats the full cast, but as I have no rebound on terrain other than spark's innate bounces I assumed that was intentional, and that I was casting inside the terrain.

RTX4070, i9-12900, 70 sparks per second with ~100% increased speed and 4s duration if any of that detail matters.
