Ascend To Power is stuck at "Search the traitors passage" (Cruel, act 2)

Hi,

As I mentioned in the subject the "Ascend to Power" quest is stuck for me in act 2 cruel difficulty (3rd ascencion). It says "Search the traitor's passage" or "Travel to the traitor's passage" (if you are outside of it).

I killed Balalaya (or how is it called) multiple times already after resetting the area and also restarting the game. Got 3 djinn barya. The quest does not change, talking to caravan people does not help. Therefore I cannot travel to the trial.

I suspect the possible reasons are:
1) one cruel barya dropped to me in mines before the traitors passage
2) I had to reset and go to the checkpoint during the first fight with Balalaya in cruel, because I did not realise that you need to search for it when poisonous mist comes up, waited for a minute, decided it is bugged and restarted from the checkpoint.

Anyone know how to reset the questline - let me know. Otherwise I guess I'll need GGG to do that somehow.

Update: now I tried to destroy all of the barya I had and try the Balalaya boss again. It didn't help to progress the quest, but now I've got no barya and Balalaya is not dropping them anymore :D

You dont need the quest at all.

Its probably a bug because they reused act 1-3 as cruel difficulty when act 4-6 weren't ready for early access.

You dont get 3rd Ascendancy points (point 5 and 6) until you get a coin in maps with 3 floors (which is like early maps) or inscribed ultimatum with 10 rooms (which is like 75+ i think?)

I am lvl 89 and missing 4 weapon skill points... when I decided to figure out where they were I looked at my quests from campaign and found this quest and the chaos quest from cruel a3 weren't completed... YET I have all 8 ascendancy points. Both of these quests won't complete for me and I'm assuming they also award 2 weapon skill points each??? Please help if you have any info on the weapon skill points or the quests.

If I were to guess, if your missing these you might be missing the 2 points from the the final letter quest from the same act. See if you finished that quest in your log. You find a letter in research and deliver it to the trades woman in the caravan. If not then make sure you killed all the mini bosses but I assume you already checked that if you looked at the quest log. Hope this helps.

if the final letter quest is the missing quest.
then don't walk past the "abandoned rhoa" when you get off the cart. it is what gives this quest.
