Have you tried simply disabling the setting in your Options that prevents you from cutting gems you don't meet the requirements for? This should let you proceed regardless.

Just gave it a shot then - looks like it's just created a new gem in my inventory, rather than upgrading the one in my skill tab unfortunately. Was defs worth a shot tho!

I am seeing the same issues. I will add that the gloves also seem to incorrectly not be giving me access to melee abilities that use INT unless I meet the requirements. This doesn't seem to be the case with DEX.
