     Terrible idea.

" These are roughly the same ranges that already exist for movement speed on boots as prefixes. Nothing is really changed except they are now implicits. The actual ranges at specific item levels are the same. Last edited by CharlesJT#7681 on Oct 1, 2025, 10:22:58 AM

" I'd even argue for 40% MS stat on ilevel 80+ boots: - Item level 1-20: 5-15% Increased Movement Speed - Item level 20-40: 15-25% Increased Movement Speed - Item level 40-60: 25-30% Increased Movement Speed - Item level 60-80: 30-35% Increased Movement Speed - Item level 80+: 35-40% Increased Movement Speed |

Disagree. Even 20-25% MS just trivializes every boss and juiced rare mob encounter in the game. Some map mods and rare can move faster than this, but this amount of MS lets you circle any mob and avoid their mechanics while doing so. Sure, you won't clear as fast but I believe any higher amount of MS should be on Bind on Equip items and be excruciatingly difficult to obtain. No enemy mechanic warrants a higher amount of MS. It just lets you farm faster and the GGG has already introduced so much powercreep in this Early Access. I am trivializing the game on my SSF Gemling with no uniques equipped, ice crossbow skills, and no grenades. How brainless does this game really need to be?
I only play SSF and it is my duty as one to inform you of my status. Last edited by SoFaux#7759 on Oct 11, 2025, 3:27:35 PM

" No item should ever be bound on equip. Don't take an extreme idea to another extreme please. |

I don't see this ever happening. Movement speed is an important stat for progression. I expect GGG will continue to favor slot machine mechanics for all progression.

Unrelated: If you think about it, the random one shot this game another type of slot machine mechanic. The random chance to just lose it all. That would explain why they like the random the on-death mechanics, monster critical hits and poor visual clarity. |
