PS5 Performance is atrocious - 20-30 FPS in battles and cities
I believe they use a proprietary game engine, which can be a challenging approach for a small studio. Managing and improving their own engine while simultaneously developing a game demands significant extra effort, which might not be the most efficient use of resources for a small team. I really don't get this kind of move a small studio can make.

" 100%.Even with 4 player party never had a single lag or frame drop |

Same here, the only thing I miss from D4 is the perf.
I managed to get to endgame 3 characters but when I make the pack blow up, either on my titan or invoker, FPS drop from 45-50 to maybe 20 but I dunno because on console you can ont have the debug overlay while playing. Please GGG, don’t let us, we’re here… |

The PS5 pro runs great overall. I've completed campaign with multiple classes and noticed that fps struggled with a minion build witch when trash mobs get large. The trials of chaos we one map was my worst experience so far.

" The game is pretty CPU bottlenecked even on PC playing with the 9800X3D. The game is just incredibly demanding as a whole that I can't even begin to fathom how poor the performance is on console. I also have a 7900 XTX and the game hits my system super hard and can't hit a fully stable 60 regardless of resolution or setting when playing a character like a minion infernalist. Hopefully they'll be able to optimize the game well throughout the early access period, because as it is stands I don't even think a 4090 could actually hit a fully stable 60. |

Performance on PS5 leaves a lot to be desired. I have played trying every graphic option available and they all seem to under perform...some worse than others. It seems that that playing FSR/Balanced at 40 fps seems to be the "sweet" spot, but there is still some screen tearing and the screen seems to play catch, the character slows down and speeds up. Its not unplayable but to play at smooth 60 fps would really make this a game a treasure. |
