Hi
I think I can help with the math on illustrating the value of having higher max resistance. Lets assume you have 2500 life and are facing some lightning damage. Your resistance determines how much damage you take. A good measuring stick for how well you do against this damage is to calculate how much damage will kill your character. 0% resistance = 2,500 damage 50% resistance = 5,000 damage 75% resistance = 10,000 damage 90% resistance = 25,000 damage Although each 1% seems small, the cumulative effect of going from capped at 75% and capped at 90% is huge, you effectively multiply your life pool by 250% against that type of damage. It is far easier to go from 75% resistance to 90% resistance than to go from 2,500 health pool to 6,250. Although I'm a novice compared to most everyone on these forums I've actually played a 90% capped resist character before and found the effort to be "worth it". |

Hello again!
3rd update on my character PASTRAMIGOONER Just reached level 90! My boy is sitting at 3100hp, 82/84/86/75 with all at 90 uncapped (besides chaos), +6 +6 weapons, +3 amu, +2 gloves. Working on raising Max ele, the next 2 levels will be huge for me in terms of survivability. I grabbed a double max ele resis against the darkness, and next level I’ll respec from brutal node to enable the unnatural resilience path. Just need to find a better helm that’ll add 10 str, I’m right at the limit for giants blood to work. Waiting on a reasonably priced lvl 20 skill gem to make my corrupted +1shockwave maxed. Smashing t15’s, smashing trials of chaos, think I’ll hunt pinnacle content after 91. It’s been the perfect build to learn about path of exile. Once again, I thank you so much for posting this guide and following up with your updates. You’ve enabled so much joy in my life and it’s very much appreciated! I’ve got 2 of my friends playing just because of my passion for the game, and they are both hooked! Don’t have much to add atm! Everything is working as you described! Guess my 2 cents is that big life rolls on armor are absolutely massive for this build. Every 100hp makes you feel twice as resilient. Thanks again! |

I'm playing warbringer using Sunder totems. What's the best way to get some more HP regen? I'm running blood magic and got my totems to around lvl 35 and the cost of casting are getting a bit much. The amount of hp regen I'm seeing on gear doesn't seem like very much. Where are you guys getting most of your hp regen from?

" There is no efficient way (that I have found) for a Warbringer to get reasonable regen. The way I solve the problem, which I recommend in the build guide, is to focus on the life flask. A fully qualitied Ultimate flask with 90%+ increased life recovered can recover upwards of 2000 life (The 15% taken from mana is irrelevant because we are blood magic). You can get reduced charges used to get it to 7 or even 6 charges per use. Herbalism will improve the life recovery by another 30% to 2600+ Wear a utility belt and 20% of the final total (520 or more if the belt also has an increased life recovered from flasks mod) is recovered instantly. Combine all of the above with a belt that has 30%+ inc charges gained or just slot life bounty (100% inc charges gained) in place of magnified effect. The result allows you to summon a totem, flask, dodge roll and be at full health (and often full flask charges) by the time you stand up, ready to do it again. This is (at least for me) the Warbringer answer to life regen. -O Last edited by Orion72#3803 on Feb 3, 2025, 10:09:59 PM

Yeah i've been relying primarily on life flask so far. I'll try to get all those bonuses like you said, I think currently mine is just 1900hp, but not the right mods or quality.
I see a couple +% life regen nodes on the passive tree, and I know you can get up to I think 3% on a certain chest armor base, but other than that I don't see it increasing by much more. Maybe life flasks are the way to go. I don't think I have enough spirit to slot herbalism yet, I'll do that next. Really sucks that cannibalism doesn't work with totems, I wonder if that's a bug? That would solve a lot of problems. Thanks for the reply! Last edited by isthatmojo#0562 on Feb 3, 2025, 10:29:46 PM
