TRADE System in PoE
... there are games where this is working properly. Take GW2 as an example.
Thing is an auction house needs to be designed in a way that it is convenient enough for real players to use and has enough friction for bots or bot-like behavior. One way to prevent buyouts is by tagging items and only allow resell of these items after, say, 24 hours. This doesn't hurt a normal player who just bought something and intends to sell it maybe a day later because it didn't work out as intended. Another or additional method would be to only show stock that is from online players and keep the items in players stashes as it is today but automate the process. However this would lead to botting, I assume. So yeah I'd defo vote for an auction house but I also understand the intention behind keeping it as-is. |

Trade system is dupes n botters already...
Who AT LEVEL 10 has an EO, let alone 5 of them to buy gear? Oh, and that's the price for 1 item, not several... Fix is in and someones scamming buyers... YouTube Streams Daily --> https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCWwC9omdiFyZuI_9Y6c9qbA

My preference would be for an automated trader.
You put in the item. Set the price. If someone wants it they can make the exchange at the NPC trader. They got their item. You got your asking price. Done. Provide players with a price/transaction history on the item. |

in my opinion the people that don't reply are console players because everything about trading is so slow and terrible on a PS5

" always thought it would be cool if we had a trader NPC we meet in the story, and he has an inventory you can put items in and ask for xyz # of currency for it, and then there would be like an instanced bazaar you could visit and go look at other peoples traders. Separate bazaars into categories sort of like the chests at the end of sekehema. |

" Can you post the link of the filters you are using (just copy the URL at the top)? I can still find plenty of very good leveling gear even at like level 40-60 for 1-3 ex. |

I also think that the trade system can use some modernizing. An auction house. Currently, needing to use an external website to find items for sale is a bit old school. However, I do understand that adding in a auction house in game would be a endeavor that could take some time and they are probably not specifically focused on that aspect of their game right now.

" Would have loved if this was the case today, sat for one hour waiting for the sellers to respond, but 99% of them didt reply, and the ones who did, suddenly had some bidding competion. Yet they still had the item and price set on "Trade". God i wish this wont be the norm with trading. |

Bots trying to manipulate prices is certainly a thing
BUT A lot of non replies are also people just throwing whatever is decent-at-a-glance into a 1ex tab and seeing what pulls whispers. Anything that gets attention will then get price checked and relisted at a proper value. I have no clue what warriors want in poe2. So, if I get a warrior weapon with good rolls it goes in the "idk" tab. If it's still dead after a couple days it gets vendored. You aren't getting replies because 1) yes, price manipulation is a thing 2) no, you aren't getting that godly roll for 1ex. People throw shit at the wall and see what sticks. My 2 arguments FOR the current system: - The current system let's me live search while I play the game. An auction house would require me to sit in town not playing. That's much preferable IMO - If you think botting is bad now you need to accept that it would get exponentially worse with a WoW style auction house. This is objective reality and opinions are irrelevant to the fact. Unless GGG can make the first game in history where botting and trade don't coexist it will always be a fact. |

I would appreciate mode which is not balanced around SC Trade.
Trading is tedious, somewhat mandatory, if you stand your ground people are often very rude, trade site has technical issues, it is very easy to get lost when you get multiple trades, being based on text messages makes it clunky, it devaluates everything you drop yourself with very few exceptions. |
