If I want to play a no-hit run, I would play a dark souls game.
" Its really not even close to Dark souls, elden ring level of gameplay. This shit is some abomination of what these devs think an arpg dark souls game should be like. |

It's like Dark Souls but without the good level design or the fun
|

Souls games at least let you try over and over until you get it. This just gives you 1 chance... it's shit design

" You're right. Games like dark souls/elden ring are actually more fair and far less frustrating/tedious than POE2. General discussion gaming forums are almost always a cesspit of ignorance and trolls.

" Players just like to parrot talk after whatever they've picked up to hide the simple term of "skill issue". Doubt most have even played any dark souls game to actually see that PoE2 is not remotely close as punishing as the souls games in various ways. Flames and madness. I'm so glad I didn't miss the fun. " POE2 is more punishing than Dark Souls. In Dark Souls, if you die you go to a bonfire, and afaik, you are safe because no mobs patrol it (at least I never had any issues). In POE2, if you die you can get overwhelmed at your spawn point. I don't know how many times the gorilla agroed me right as a I spawned into the game. Furthermore, in Dark Souls, the respawning enemies serve a purpose, as there is no other way to grind exp, unlike POE2, where you can simply reset a zone. So the devs made mobs respawn in POE2 for no other reason than to make it difficult. (I called this out a long time ago as it would be a bone of contention with the playerbase) In Dark Souls, most mobs are slower than you, or at least, the same speed. So you can disengage quickly if needed. That's not the case in POE2, where mobs are lightning fast and hone in on you. There's no way to disengage quickly in POE2. A lot of loot is guaranteed in Dark Souls. So you can make sure you are geared in Dark Souls. In POE2, you can either fight the boss in the rags you have, or farm for who knows how long, because drops are so terrible. Furthermore, you can easily twink your character once you know where drops are in Dark Souls. Want to start Dark Souls with a big honking two handed sword? Then head to the GY and grab it. Dark Souls never felt like a slog. Unlike POE2. I could go on... Last edited by jdp29#1389 on Dec 15, 2024, 12:42:12 AM

On what point became every hard game a souls like game…a hard game is not automatically a souls like game…

" ------------------------------------- Since when ? Have you ever played any old school arpgs ? While you progress to some "end" it might get easy, or how to say that, but ARPG's aren'T about relaxing game at all.. That was just bad design from such games.. Zooming of PoE 1 is result of loooong developing path where you can't even go to another turn because you can increase only dmg and speed and same for enemy.. Diablo ? 3/4 are far from their vision of Diablo games.. Last Epoch also dont rush and zoom trough own game and still is fun.. (nor it need booming of items and as soon on) |

I don’t know who said it or if it’s in another thread but I think they said this..
The game not hard it’s just too punishing. That sums this game up pretty well I think |
