PoE 2 servers are undergoing maintenance. Some features will be unavailable.
Fog of war resetting starting today
Open a different game on your ps5. After you load to menu. Close the game. Go back to Po2 it will fix the issue when you start exploring again.
Or you can reinstall the game. |

Same issue. Fog of war comes back immediately after entering a different zone or teleporting back to town and going right back. About to do my first reinstall. Hopefully this gets fixed soon.

This solved it for me:
1. Logging off of POE2 2. Starting POE1 and briefly exploring a short distance in any zone with any character (for example just getting out of the door of the town in act 1) 3. Logging off of POE 1 4. Starting POE 2 again This works like a charm on both PS5 machines we own. |

+1 on PS5

Thanks for your reports. We are aware of the issue and currently investigating.

Also losing map discovery constantly on ps5 just for going back to town for like 2 seconds. Frustrating

+1 ps5. 2nd time this has happened. So far no games that I own have been able to resolve this issue. I even re installed some oldies to try. So far the only solution has been to reinstall :S
It applies across all characters however, it seems to have been triggered both times while playing minions. Last edited by Moargoths#7501 on Jan 22, 2025, 10:20:25 PM

on PS5, befor reinstalling the game or before starting another game to reset the cache, just start the console SafeMode and select Clear Cache in the options.
this worked for me multiple times now. HowDo (not written by myself but extended xD) 1.) Hold the PS button on your controller. 2.) From the Power menu, select Turn Off PS5. 3.) Wait until the PS5 power indicator light shuts off. 4.) Press and hold the power button on the console until you hear a second beep to enter Safe Mode. (or the first beep if u disabled the starting beep like me) This should take about 7 seconds. 5.) Connect your controller to the console using the USB cable and p the PS button. 6.) Navigate to the Clear Cache and Rebuild Database option using your controller. 7.) Select Clear System Software Cache. 8.) Select OK. 9.) Wait for the console to restart on its own. |
