Nerf drama is dumb here is my thoughts..

Well Ill try to be short.
I've stated my POE2 journey as witch Blood Mage, and already played for around 80h total. At first campaign was hard af, but after some understanding and couple more hours I've blasted my way through to the map and started "endgame". I was playing cast on freeze comets, and it was satisfying and fun. Got it till t5 maps made a "decent" starter bank to upgrade my char, and next day BOOM! All of my gameplay was "wiped". They just nerfed my skill, and after that I look at my gold an that's smth about 50-60k, with this amount i can spec like 10 points? Well designed guys, you just forced me to go again into campaign. And after all of that, if i play ranger what stops you from nerfing deadeye next...
so thats my story now to the main point:
If you planing on doing this stuff the brutal way(live nerfing builds)
1. Make respec free(or near to that) that's would be even logical, since than we would find new broken stuff while in endgame.

How its better in my opinion
2. Make all nerfs with big patches
Let people have fun, you will collect MORE data from the players playing in the endgame so they can experiment with builds, find more broken stuff for you to overcome in future.

Yes the game fells good, and im excited to play, but not the campaign every week after every patch. I want to play endgame. The campaign is TOO large to play it so often.

Please GGG, do not ruin that feeling of exploring. You know your players we have to exploit the game to truly enjoy it.

I think you're just not trying hard enough. They didn't kill your build; they made it more challenging, which means more interesting. Enjoy it!

By the way, I have a question: why were you all playing this build? Someone mentioned that PoE 2 is better than PoE 1 because there are no pre-made builds from streamers and so on. Did everyone really come up with this build on their own, and it just so happened that it was the one nerfed? Fascinating.

I was going in blind, but dont get me wrong ive got some inspiration from Pohx after finishing campaign. And still Im not feeling chellenged at all, only frustrating. Ive tried to "revive" my build but I even cant swap ascendancy. The blood mage is more like "late league" char to invest in. And I've found most enjoyable the cast on freeze one.
And I'm not the only one right?
LR magnetic salvo, hammer of gods, gas explosion, archmage. A lot of people are complaining, im on the GGG side but this nerfs are making me sad.
Nerfs are needed, but ofc it all depends on how hard stuff gets nerfed. If it ends up becoming total trash thats not good either.
Id also say some free respecs in this stage would be quite fair.
1. People play OP build.

2. Build gets nerfed.

We've been in this loop and we love it ;)

well nerf was needed, indeed, before 1-2 freeze was enough for cast a comet, it's clear it was too strong. however, now it's about 8 to 9 freeze for get a comet...

means on a boss you probably will never see more than one or two comet.... what the point?

we have gone from one extrem to another one. they have take something that was op, and did make it totally useless.

i feel they did forget that the point of an arpg it's to become broken, to find the build you will destroy wave of enemy or powerfull monster.

you can't have a dark soul arpg... people expecting to play a dark soul arpg don't understand the trouble with this.

in dark soul game, you try to avoid to fight a lot of enemy, because you will die if you try this. in arpg you always fight dozen of enemy. but i digress....

i feel the nerf was too much. and more important, why use 60 spirit for something that was probably only show time to time...

What if for example, you stack freeze quicker on a weapon set and blast on the other ? (I mean for mostly passive tree. I have very little clue on the item affixes or gems outside of ordinary Monk gameplay.)

I realise this is tongue in cheek and certainly plenty of players will have gone to see what was hot and played that, or gotten frustrated then done the same (a few friends of mine). However the truth is build options are very limited right now so if you look at the passive tree and the gems then put them together you end up with very similar routes to other players that do the same.

Some archetypes are more limited than others and get railroaded hard

Originally, people with IQ > 100 were telling you that PoE 2 is garbage precisely for this reason. Meanwhile, PoE 2 apologists accused them of being too weak to handle the challenges and create their own builds instead of copying popular ones. The result? A crowd of crying players unable to cope with difficulties because their favorite streamer build got nerfed.
I loosely agree with you though I will say that groups complaining about things are rarely the same. I had 2 players doing the cast on freeze cheese in my group and when it got gutted their only real complaint was they needed a respec to fix it and didn't have the gold to do so.

Its messy though, was a messy nerf too though understandable if players actually compared the cast on X reserves to the other reserves (hint, they do fuck all mostly) Its clearly intended to be occasional extra damage nothing to actually build round.
