poe2 consistent crashing (only in atlas maps)

That i've already lost any visible hideout from the atlas, is bad enough.
That I can not finish a map unless I complete it before 5 game crashes take all the portals away.

Campaign maps work perfectly. Smooth. Fun. Lovely.
What/why/how is the atlas crashing consistently. I have tried many fix's proposed by community members. No luck, only failed atlas objectives and building frustration. So far I have done 5 maps, and failed roughly 15. One of those 15 fails was genuinely a loss, I accept that. Struggling to finish t1 maps even though everything in them is a breeze to clear.

Please give players a default hide out.
how many maps will I have to complete until I get the *attempt* at another one?
I am so sick of being stuck in town trying to trade etc.
