The Trail of Corruption NPC bug

Im on the quest The Trail of Corruption and I have to open the second gate but after clearing some monster on the map before the second gate my npc just stopped moving, it doesn't follow me and now I cant progress with the quest and the quest is not reseting, I tried going to other areas, dungeons etc. and still nothing it's stuck in the same place near the first checkpoint.
