I really didn't want to be, I love PoE series and spent $700 since open beta to support it where it is today.

But you try playing a bloodmage without leech for a week, then leech getting "buffed" and still sucking, and then CoF/CoC getting deleted when you're a crit/ailment build.

I had better clear speed at lvl 30 (no cast on ailment/crit, just a 2 link fireball) than I do as lvl 70 with a cold bloodmage with 20 exalt in gear, and five levels overzoned. I can't respec and I'm not going to sit and grind 200k gold for it, I can't be bothered to do that after playing a bugged descendancy for a week.

Waited 5 years for this game and making a character nearly unplayable MID-LEAGUE is rough when it happens to you. Maybe your build will be next I guess.

I'll just play different games with the boys and wait until v1.0 when this game is more balanced, ideally no more massive mid-league / mid-launch changes in a PvE game. This isn't a competitive pvp esport.

They should be fixing crashes, bugged stats like leech, ascendancies not working, etc. which is more important than gas clouds, ice, melee slams killing things faster than others in a pve game. We can agree to disagree.

"mid-league" lol. It's fucking EA dude, what's wrong with this playerbase?!

Balance changes are important, best do them as early as possible. And yes, I am playing a nerfed build (Slams Titan). You guys SERIOUSLY need to touch grass.
Lol league
Dealing with a 4 floor sanctum just to achieve ascension is so AWFUL, we keep getting pushed that mechanic through our guts.

Gas grenade damage was nerfed but mana cost didnt decrease acordingly, this should be fixed, merc arent casters, they shouldnt need that much mana just for one skill, fix that.

One try per map is not enough, this is not undecember.
Done 4th floor in sanctum and the portal is still bugged

IDK some of it is fair. They went well out of their way to change trigger spells to be basically unusable as builds themselves. They were not that strong, there are at least 3 builds streamers are playing right now that have been untouched that are all better than trigger ever was.

After your destroyed CoF/CoC I chose to wait and see if you're going to respond to the overwhelming feedback, but at this point I see that my sorc really goes to the trash bin. Good job with the "balancing".

Before I start new character and put 40 hours into it, could you please let me know which one do you plan to nuke into the oblivion next? Thank you

I'm giving them another day to realize they ruined the game for an entire class.
If CoF isn't restored to a playable state by EOD tomorrow, I'm getting a refund from Steam.

I supported Blizzard and all their bad designs for entirely too long. You have to acknowledge a toxic relationship early on to avoid the abuse.

This is definitely shaping up to be that way.

Fool me once, shame on me... That goes out to all the game developers in the world. We're done with your abuse.

Just leave. Your entitled impatient ass can't stomach the idea that things are going to change frequently and drastically in the EA of an unfinished product? Just leave then lmfao.

GGG is one of the best devs in the business. PoE2 will be one of the best games on the market when it ACTUALLY RELEASES. (You paid to participate in the beta stage of this game btw, not sure if you understand that.) It's already one of my favorite games, and I spent my first first ~40 hours of it playing bloodmage and not skipping the debuff like a weenie since I wanted to try ele bleed specifically. You think your sorc is bricked? Try cruel with a bloodmage that has it's ascendancy specced. Doubt you'd even make it to cruel tbh.

The game certainly has issues rn. They are working on fixing issues alongside also developing the game that is NOT FINISHED. The CoX nerf was heavy handed and I also think they should've given a free respec. But they didn't. Get over it. Play something else. Respec like 8 points or whatever. Play something else or do a different hobby till they fix it. Most of all, get over yourself.

I appreciate the effort and passion that goes into the development of this game, but I feel compelled to provide some constructive feedback regarding recent updates and the overall direction of the game during early access.

Skill Nerfs and Gameplay Balance:
Recent adjustments, particularly to "cast on freeze," "cast on fire," "cast on shock," and "cast on crit" mechanics, have significantly impacted what made the game enjoyable for many players. While balance is important, early access should prioritize creating a fun and engaging experience for the community. These adjustments feel premature and overly restrictive, especially given that early access is meant for experimentation and refining core gameplay.

Rather than immediately focusing on nerfs, a better approach might be to observe the broader player base, collect data, and introduce adjustments after a longer observation period—perhaps two weeks to a month. This would allow for more informed balancing while maintaining the fun factor that early access players are looking for.

Campaign Quality of Life Improvements:
The campaign could benefit from tangible quality-of-life enhancements. For example:

Map size: After Act 1, the map sizes can feel unnecessarily large, leading to fatigue rather than immersion. Streamlining these areas would greatly enhance the overall experience.
Minion AI: Minion builds, while promising, are often rendered ineffective due to pathfinding issues, especially in corridor-heavy or doorway-centric maps. Improving AI navigation would address this problem and make these builds more viable across all map types.
Drop Rates and Economy:
The promised improvements to exalted orb drop rates haven’t been noticeable, with many players reporting little to no improvement even after extensive campaign play. If drop rates are adjusted, they should be communicated clearly with visible results to maintain player trust.

Respec Costs and Flexibility:
Respec costs are prohibitively high, particularly given the nerfs to core mechanics like "cast on" effects. Players who have invested significant time into their builds are now facing unreasonable barriers to adapt. Offering free respecs after such substantial changes or significantly reducing the respec cost would be a fair and player-friendly approach.

Communication with the Community:
Communication is crucial, especially during early access. Engaging openly with players—acknowledging feedback, providing updates, and discussing future plans—would foster goodwill and trust. Other games, such as Last Epoch, have demonstrated the value of consistent and transparent developer communication. Adopting similar practices could make a significant difference.

Monetary Investment and Trust:
Many of us are passionate supporters of this project, and some are considering significant financial contributions. However, the current trajectory, particularly the focus on nerfs over foundational improvements, has given pause. Building trust through visible improvements and better communication will be key to ensuring long-term player support.

In summary, the purpose of early access should be to refine the game with player feedback while prioritizing fun and accessibility. Addressing these issues would not only improve the current experience but also reassure the community that their time and investment are valued.

Thank you for your hard work, and I hope this feedback is helpful in shaping the future of the game.

PS: Remember the most valuable resource is TIME for your players and you should make their time worth it on your game.

This is such a good post, thank you.
