Do we need a Ruthless mode?

Well if people like MrLlama, Kripparian and Raxx are finding the game hard enough before they nerfed things how are we the Normal players ment to be able to play as a game that we would like to enjoy, not be like a job after work.

The thing about Dodge Roll is it also cancels what ever skill you have tried to cast, it makes most of my reactions rubbish and I'm older then you Hawg.

If we need to have a Ruthless mode as well as a Normal mode then so be it.

I have been trying other classes, and its near impossible to get a start and I lose interest so I go back to my SRS build and that's nerfed and I am now near broke, I will try the ranger but if that ends up being just the same I will give it a week or two and come back after the re re re balance has been done.

Poe2 needs a standard mode. If the vice president of Ruthless is saying he loves the game but even admits some parts are overtuned we need a more casual friendly version.

Or not in which case the game would alienate a good chunk of players which I guess is fine if poe1 keeps getting updates.
i think it needs Ruthless mode, current loot makes it too easy. i'm not even kidding, finding rare loot so early is nothing what ruthless was in poe1 where you would still have blue gear in maps
this IS ruthless mode. we need a regular mode.
Kripp is playing SSF, so ya the game is significantly harder for him.

Just TRADE, it will make the game substantially easier

in PoE2 you don't just need life + res, MAYBE chaos res, and some defense rolls.
On top of that in poe2 you absolute do NEED chaos res, because it doesn't go negative, the devs decided to litter every map with chaos dmg you will just randomly die if you don't get it at least to 50%. Then we have the problem of attributes in poe2, you wont get enough from your tree to use your gems or gear, its just impossible. So there is a heavy burden on gear needed 2 more stats, sure spread across different pieces, but still.

I don't think ACTs should be hard unless you are playing SSF or hardcore etc. And it isn't if you just trade for leveling gear. Gearing in maps is much more difficult than poe1 because of the added strain to get more stats you need. And monsters don't get sponge HP like they do in poe1, they start dealing insane amounts of damage, so you can't play a mathil build and just outdps everything, you will die, you will lose your map, even worse a boss node you spent ages setting up with towers, and you will lose 15% xp.

Forgot to mention a lot of classes also need spirit now, another stat you have to gear for on chest/amulet etc.

But that is the intended difficulty. Jonathan for past year in every interview said the game is hard. You can bypass a lot with personal skill. Thats the entire point.

how do you bypass things that pretty much 1 shot you lol..... you dont really grind areas, you have to progress forward in order to get any xp, but saying oh you can bypass alot of things with skill is just an excuse, the loot drops still suck, you really cant mid max gear your pretty much stuck with same gear forever, seeing top streamers complain about gear and xp and that its a slot machine to get things or upgrade... something needs to change....

Yeah, the game is supposed to be hard. But everyone agrees, that the campaign is just like a tutorial and the real game starts in the endgame.
So why make the campaign so hard, that many people will never see the real game?
Would be easy enough to ramp up the difficulty just in the endgame.

If i did it, it cant be that hard. Im not good at games and i can manage. How to bypass you ask? Dont get hit, get better gear, check vendors, use orbs to get resists, learn the patterns etc. Im currently in act 2 cruel and its easier, a lot. You dont play this game like poe 1 and d4. I like it.
