"This support cannot be socketed into this skill" for every support gem.
I just encountered this bug today. I just purchased a sceptre with reduced attribute requirements. I am able to equip it and summon the skeletal warriors. But I am unable to socket anything unless I respec my passives to get the int required for the sceptre. This has been tested and confirmed. If I then respec it back, the sockets get locked again. I have enough attributes for the support gems, as I had been using them already on a lower level sceptre. I have tested creating new gems to no avail. And no, I did not lose any attributes from the old sceptre as it had no attribute rolls on it.
I have the screenshots but not sure how to attach them here as I do not have a photo hosting service. Is there anyone who can help me with this? I'm a casual player and not particularly "rich" currency wise so I can't afford to just buy another sceptre. Market availability notwithstanding. Please help. Thank you. |

ok, I think I know what happened now. Although the sceptre has reduced attribute requirement, that does not extend to the skeletal warrior minion skill. That still requires 178 int. I didn't realise this initially, because the screen bugged out and was still showing my old sceptre minion eventhough I had already swapped the sceptres many times. I only realised after I saw it was still showing the corrupted attribute from the old sceptre eventhough the new sceptre was not corrupted. It cleared out after I restarted the whole client then it started showing the updated screen. My graphics driver did timeout when I purchased and equipped the new sceptre. Yeah, bad omens and all. lol.
Anyways. Is this an intended behavior? If yes, then this defeats the purpose of reduced requirements, right? Yeah i get that many caster weapons base skills are useless and people want it for the other affix rolls. But this still means it is a horrible roll on many caster weapons. I wish there was at least some note about it on the weapon. Seems I just purchased a sceptre with a wasted roll. Sigh. |

Still a bug and not from what some posts suggest as that's not my scenario. Bring back GGG of old :( They would have had this kind of thing hotfixed right away
