I anticipate this topic will be locked but still feel it's worth raising the matter.
Could we please, with the greatest respect, get some additional moderation support throughout the forums? It feels like our current mods are just completely overwhelmed right now.
Following the release of early access, the vitriol, antagonism, baiting, trolling, disrespect and juvenile behaviour has grown exponentially beyond the usual handful of long term recidivists, resulting in a poor user experience for many forum contributors.
While there are some diametrically opposed opinions about various topics, these can be presented and discussed in a civil manner without resorting to name calling and a deterioration in the quality of discussions. Some visible and active moderation sets the tone for others and encourages a better quality of post overall.
Thank you mods for your consideration and for continuing to fight the good fight.

Civility is overrated; grow some skin, get over it, and people will calm the fuck down soon enough. GGG are big boys and girls, they have their big boy and girl pants on. They will be ok.
Things that are actually against the rules are getting frequently and quickly nuked; the job is being done.

Civility is not overrated. If you want to act like a monkey, you're free to do so within your own quarters with your own family. The moment you decide to step outside of your personal environment and join society, you are bound to the rules of society. This, includes communicating with communities such as this one.

Yes; and the only arbiters of such behavior in a space such as this are its owners. In this case; that's GGG.
Civility for the sake of civility, where the content of the so-called "civil" comments is every bit as uncivil as the people being crass are, is utterly useless and often worse than the alternative.

Immediate case-in-point. Literally within the space of a full stop. "Civility is not overrated", followed literally in the next half a sentence with a racial slur. "Civility".

What exactly are you suggesting here? That this place and its arbiters are not civil?
The fact you're both more than happy to twist my words speaks volumes for you level of understanding and where you truly stand when it comes on the subject of being civil. I would go as far to say you actively want this place to be a looney house. You welcome it.

That the arbiters of civility in a given private space are the owners of that space, and that they are already doing the job. That the OP, as well as people such as you, try to enact "wartime civility" as a means of hamfistedly enforcing a "positive place" rather than letting peoples' warranted anger play out, as it has done many times in the past.

Nobody twisted a word - you are the one that posted the post. It was quoted in full, and remains in full to be parsed by anyone reading it. Perhaps you don't think there's a problem with the term? How civil of you, of course.

Of course you twisted the MEANING of my words. Conveniently for you, of course. There's 0 basis to even suggest there's anything remotely racial in my comment. My point was a wild animal, like a monkey or a wildcat or whatever, has no bounds in its own environment to be civil like humans do. Very simple.
Anyway, it's evidently clear where you stand on the matter and how you prefer to act. Hopefully, the community along with GGG will swiftly shun people like you.

Again; the meaning of your words stands to be read by anyone who wants to do so.
Your post history reads like a who's who of insulting people you think are misbehaving, without a single meaningful addition to a given conversation yourself. I don't know if you're aiming to apply as a moderator yourself or something, but that's not really how it works.
People who have moved through the community and into employment at GGG aren't the bootlickers like yourself, proving they are willing to be the free police force with no power Jeremy Dewitt style. They are the ones that fashion the discussion, accept and shape the outcry as being representative of something real even when the words are more mean-spirited than necessary.
People who are annoyed and pissed off will nearly universally reply in a manner that represents that feeling. Telling them to "be civil" will literally have the diametrically opposed outcome to that that you purport to want. "Civil feedback" and annoyed customers are simply a venn diagram with an exceptionally small overlap, and pretending otherwise represents a gross misunderstanding of human emotion on your behalf.
