Great guide, I just respecced to this at Act 3 and going to try it out! What auras do you recommend on using?

Great question, I've been flip-flopping on adding those in or not to the guide, I probably should.

Generally speaking, we do have a few solid options

The Good

-Time of Need for the big defensive boost, this is really great mid and endgame and doesn't fall off at really any point in the game that I've seen.

-Attrition you do more damage the longer you are fighting a hard enemy and you cull them. Pretty much an instant add

-Blasphemy + Flammability the spirit and intelligence investment cost here are pretty high for us (60 baseline, 100+ Int), but this aura will cut down monster's fire Resistances dramatically, it's really great if you can use it.

The Okay

-Overwhelming Presence Perfect Strike auto ignites, so it's not necessary for that bit, but the extra stun could be helpful if you take the build in that direction. Damage on Heavy Stun is pretty strong.

-Berserk this is an amazing buff, but we don't take Rage nodes. If you made a variant of this with Rage, this would be a must have.

-Scavenged Plating this buff is good if you armor break a lot. We are almost pure Fire damage, so we don't need to worry much about physical reductions.

The Untested

-Cast on Ignite this recently got nerfed, but I can still see a world where this is really strong. Perfect Strike always ignites on perfect timing so it could be a really strong addition to our arsenal.

The Traps

-Herald of Fire is just not very good. The overkill damage could be nice for some packs, but typically your are going to be one-shotting everything anyway if the overkill damage is enough to make any sort of impact. The VFX are nice at least!

-Wind Dancer is a great defensive tool for Evasion users, we don't use Evasion so 20+% of nothing, is still nothing.

So i take it this setup ignores melee damage nodes since Molten Strike counts not as a melee ability.

I was thinking of going a fire-focused Warrior build, using 1h and Mace though. Magma Barrier and stuff. Molten Blast should quickly fall behind in terms of damage, no?

Yep! You are absolutely correct. Any "Melee" specific nodes we get are only to make Perfect Strike melt bosses and rares.

Any "Two Hand", "Mace" or "Attack" nodes still apply though, so Molten strike benefits from ~90% of the nodes I take. You could easily swap out the Two-Hand nodes for One-hander and drop some of the Melee specific nodes for Block chance/Armor, it would probably work, just would be a tad slower.

Sounds like a fun variant build though, always wanted to try Warbringer block!
So after testing a lot more, I have a bit more insight.

I initially invested the 90 int on some easy to obtain pieces and tested Cast on Ignite. I tried various things, and even though I ignite everything I touch, the energy regen was nerfed so much that it doesn't do anything outside of like bosses.

All in all it isn't worth it. So with the additional spirit + int investment, I just threw on Blasphemy + Flammability and have been rocking that.

I also have enough spirit to run Herald of Ash + Overwhelming Presence.

Just got a new weapon upgrade and had to take off giant's blood in order to use it, but I'm trying to get another link so I can test out the chain support, because apparently it works with molten blast, since it states projectile and chain skills.

That's my next goal.

Nice!

I came to the exact same conclusion. I ran without Giants Blood for the full run and with the CoI nerfs, I couldn't find it worth it enough.

Really happy to see someone else tried this out to the same results!

Thank you for the quick reply. Your setup seems far more focused than mine, meaning it will be less likely to become bricked. Im currently trying to make Shield Titan work, but i might actually go Warbringer.

At Act 2 now, im using regular shield block with the Magma Shield Spirit Skill. It gives good stun and damage aswell as Endurance charges and it allows me to use the AoE of Bone Crusher to clear packs together with Infernal Cry. Rolling Slam and a Totem from time to time.

My fear is im going to be spread too thin to be effective come maps, had the same idea of going Fire Warrior.

But by now, the Magma Shield seems extremely potent as it, together with the regular Mace Attack, reduce the downtime of attacking by a lot and it helps with the Warcry damage bonus when bossing/doing rares.
As a matter of fact, if anyone struggles as Warrior when doing the Trial of the Sekhemas:

Go for this setup. Molten Blast, Infernal Cry, Boneshatter and Perfect Strike are perfect. Just blasted through the Trial thanks to this.
for the attributes are you picking strength?? i cant see in the photos but looks like dex?
Hello,

Thanks for posting this build!

As a new player to Path of Exile 1 & 2 (I only played PoE1 a couple days), I ended up here looking for a build. Going to give this one a shot.

Thank you so much, hope your Warrior has a bright future!

P.S. - I am pretty sure you have one extra point spent in your build somehow? Either that, or I have one less point that I am unable to spend (re-creating the build privately on mobalytics, just so I can see it better and reference it).

I took off one point of Melee Damage (node top left of the build, after 'In Your Face') since it seemed all the other paths end in Notables or Max Lightning Resist, I figured those were quite important... if this is a mistake, please confirm.

:)
