FREE RESPEC VOTE THREAD

GGG: "We can't wait to see what crazy stuff you create!"

also GGG: "We want to stop seeing what crazy stuff you create!"

If nerfs are gonna be this hard at least provide free respecs, a friend of mine just quit the game because he has 0 gold and his build doesnt work AT ALL.

Agree that Respec should be free at any time for the PoE 2 Beta.
i think since it's early access and it's kind of like testing phase and this was an insane nerf to a lot of peoples builds where they are completely bricked and dont do dmg they should make respeccing free til release so if peoples builds get bricked like this it's ok because they can switch to testing some other build and it would make testing all kinds of weird stuff easy for people so they have an easier way to nerf overpowered stuff and players have more fun testing every aspect and combo out but i highly doubt they would make this crazy good change that would also help them...

Do you mean new character time?

He can't respec, his build was very specific and based on a trigger that wasnt nerfed, it literally doesnt work anymore so he can't farm gold.

If this isnt a way of being kind-of hard locked by the devs then what?

Getting to level 40 takes on average 20 hours on a non-broken build, and even if it took less, why would he need to do this lol, just give damn free respecs if the nerfs are gonna be this hard, this isn't a regular nerf of damage.

Completely changing mechanics of skills means bricking builds, bricking builds means people quitting. But whatever, they already got your money right?
Anytime there are changes made to how the passive tree works then there should be a respec option with that new patch.

Or just for early access make it so that each Friday everyone is given the option for a free respec.
+1 to a respec for this change. However, I applaud GGG for doing what they thought was right on the nerf. It seems counter-intuitive to nerf builds without giving compensation. With a respec, they can continue to test their character at the point they left off by working with another setup. That seems like a win/win.

thing is... they didn't just nerf it, they made it unusable... the cast on X skill gems are worthless as of now... i'm fully specced into the cast on freeze and i'd need to freeze like 3-5 packs of mobs for 1 cast to go off now, it's no dmg basically and if someone uses that skill when not specced into it it's 10x worse and why even use it then? the 1 free spell cast per map then wouldn't be worth using the majority of your spirit pool for lol
Honestly I vote YES for Unlimited free respec during the early access. It serves two purposes. One, it lets the devs tune as much as they want and people won't be put out by the cost. Second, it allows for people to try all sorts of different things, and when they do that, it helps the devs learn what other possibilities need to be tuned. It's Honestly a win win. Not sure why they aren't doing this already. If it's not an open beta then stop giving players PTSD about committing to a good build because the devs might think it's "Too good for their vision". Once early access is over and they are ready to release then they can add costs back in. But until then, give the people what they want and learn something about how your game works that you didn't think of while you're at it.
True. I've just quit the game because I don't wanna spend several hours on gold farming to try another build. :\
