Rat move by GGG with Cast on Freeze changes

I get that its early access, but two issues I am seeing here:

First, for any and all major build frying changes like this, there should be free respecc'ing. Otherwise, on top of the pain that heavy nerfs like this causes, its insult to injury that players have to pay, and at higher levels, massive sums, to fix what they didn't break. Just because its early access, doesn't mean players should have their time and their fun so blatantly disrespected as this.

Second, the nerf itself seems like it was done with a sledge-hammer instead of a scalpel. Such a massive drop in performance and it is leaving people saying many things that imply other big issues, such as:

"This was a crutch I was using that made lackluster skills actually worth something."

"This is such a big drop in performance, trigger skills now aren't worth the 60 spirit to bother with in any capacity."

"How is this justified, when other classes are clearing at literally the speed of the wind, but this was targeted for the heavy handed nerf?"

Strike 1 = Not knowing who FEXTRALIFE is, and what kind of a scam artist he is, and allowing him to play the game before anyone else.

Strike 2 = MAssive Nerf from a company that promised no nerfs only buffs and a nerf only under EXTREME circumstances. IE one shotting a boss.

Strike 3 = ???? Bring it on.. Im waiting.


How can you Nerf something that literally still takes a good amount of time to kill a boss?
Ill tell you why.. Jonathan is obsessed with this SOULS like experience.
He doesn't want any builds to reach a point where the souls like feeling of the game is gone.

You didnt even nerf it by half.... you nerfed it so badly that it literally doesnt work, you can SPAM frost bolts through the entire screen, and not even see a comet???

How is that nerfing and not just breaking it in the opposite direction?

The entire player base is running some sort of cast on build and you literally destroyed it? while we are half way through a campaign that is compeltely untuned and rushed... act 3??? u dont notice how rushed this is ???? Some time travel crap and the last quest lasting 4 areas before u finish act 3? Shit is missing its pretty clear. So now what? start over?

Why? its completely not replayable...


no items, not gold, no rares, no skill gems, no links, no nothing..

its 3 acts of a souls game and if u figure anything out that might make it feel like path of exile it gets nerfed?

If they are going to make massive nerfs and brick builds, they need to own up and give a full respec with the patch. It's EA, let people recover from GGG's decision.

So what's GGG's plan? Have everyone that chose Chronomancer restart the game with another character?
