Wasn't even playing CoF, just chose sorc blindly and went lightning. Probably the weakess of the 3 elements for sorc right now. WAS excited to finally get the Cast on shock tonight...

Now even though my build wasn't heavily relying on it, I just don't see any fun in the endgame for my class. CoS was literally everything I was hoping on to clear end game content considering the obscene amount of chance to shock on the tree.

Like what's the point of Ball of lightning that does 2-29 lightning dmg baseline with 750% additional chance to shock now after this over nerf?

I can already reliably shock my enemies with Arc, why would I botter using that sh*t?

Go archmage + spark or ball of lightning + warp along with conduit to nuke boss.
While I get that balancing the game is important, the frequency of patches—often without warning—has been really frustrating. It feels like there’s little consideration for how these changes affect players who can’t adapt as quickly.

For some of us, it takes a lot of time to refine a build, and it’s disheartening when updates suddenly make those builds ineffective. The constant need to rebuild or re-strategize can take the fun out of the game, especially when there’s no heads-up or patch notes ahead of time to plan around.

What’s even more confusing is how some builds get patched almost immediately after being featured by streamers, while other clearly broken DPS-cap builds remain untouched for ages. It comes across as selective or inconsistent, which adds to the frustration.

I think it would be fairer to have clearer communication and a bit more time between patches to let people adjust. It’s not just about nerfing builds but about giving everyone a chance to enjoy the game without feeling like their progress is constantly being invalidated.
the nerf to Frost/CoF was really disappointing. It's bricked the build and made it non-playable. Could we get some free spirit gems and respecs to make it easier to try out different builds, I mean it is early access that we had to pay for. I don't want to spend another 40+ hours on a new build just to have it nerfed again. Switched from warrior which was nerfed. Was having fun now dont feel like playing the game.
Even taking nerfs into consideration, it appears that cast on crit isn't working properly. I have 61% crit chance, and even shooting eye of winter into a pack of 25+ mobs with ice wall up is taking almost 30 seconds to proc a single ice comet. Don't know if its specific to this map or the delirium mirror, but I spend more time trying to kill a pack of white mobs than most uniques/rares even after the nerfs.

Way over did the nerf to trigger builds, it was extremely fun, and it was completely gutted. Most of the people cannot possibly respec because their character doesn't even clear maps any more, and they can't clear like normal because their build isn't set up to play normally, all their tree/gear is around triggers.

The biggest F U to a player base I've ever seen!! One of he most anticipated new games to hit the market in years, 1mil viewers on launch day on twitch, a whole new audience of people never seen before.

Some took time off work, some, invested HEAVY hours, and yall completely BRICK and destroy EVERYONES specs. What a great way to motivate your new audience to play.

Shit gear, shit drops, no rewards, 1 shots all over the place, dodge roll gameplay type, and even with all that nonsense, people find a FUN spec to play which get's them through all the nonsense and you wake up one day to find out your week of time investment is destroyed.

There were so many other issues with the game that probably could be addressed first. Let people have fun for shit sakes. While you fix other things like the map system and map sustain.

You literally just shatt all over your new audience. Great decision guys!

bro it is early access. . .what did you expect??

if they're going to nerf to the ground anything that comes up, they need to nerf respec cost. simples as that. no problem on nerfing, as soon as you are ABLE TO RESPEC lol
Cast on Ignite.

Over 1000 enemy kills and 1 Boss kill.

Cast on Ignite triggered once. ONE TIME.

I'm told by PoE Brainlets that I'm a crybaby, that I should "Go back to Diablo" when I voice my concerns. I DO NOT PLAY DIABLO, I DO NOT SUPPORT BLIZZARD. PERIOD.

Please look at the update and make sure it's correct, because if it is you guys might be the single worst balancing developers I've ever witnessed. How is the "Cast on X" things a concern for you, when the internet is flooded with videos of warriors one shotting bosses in 4 seconds? Like, hello?

Why does respec cost gold, when everything else tied to remaking a build also costs gold, it's such an amateur, arbitrary decision guys, c'mon.

This is not how you balance, this isn't even a nerf, this is just amateur developer overreaction vibe stuff. "It's just early access." ... Yeah, EARLY ACCESS. Not an Alpha or a Beta, they are NOT the same thing.
Thanks for not bricking my build. Minions still feel terrible and I will continue to slam my face against my desk trying to play it.
killing all ''cast on'' gems in one swooop, nice job balance team
This is rather disappointing. It will deplete all my resources and gold to try and respec out of CoF at this point and even then I will not have gear and weapons any where near comparable to what I had before cause the entire market is going to be flooded with the same gear going for nothing as no one wants it anymore. I have no issue admitting that meta gems could use a balance change, but this was completely bricking the builds. I went from clearing t2 maps in under 10 minutes to now needing up to an 1h or more if I don't die. At this point I feel like saving my resources for a reroll is smarter then trying to salvage this character. If this is how this game is going to be handled. I can no longer recommend this game.
dont mind nerfs but this patch bricked lot of people;s build. especially when spells are doing as intended in design and not some bug abuse. u should have given alternatives like some free respec or something to compensate our time for keeping in so much effort into a build. this is just disrespectful and u guys broke the promise on what u talked in interviews on how u will approach nerfs. i gotto sadly admit this is a "diablo" like game with this patch. guess they didnt learn anything with diablo patch outrage.
