Can someone explain to me this "OP" Cast on Ignite build?

I played a CoI Sorc up to Act 2 of Cruel, it was garbage the whole way until I finally got Coment and Firestorm. It finally was able to clear mobs and do something for bosses.
It still felt like trash.

I made a merc yesterday and I was zooming through the game compared to anything the fire skill on sorc did.

As far as I'm concerned, CoI was the only way to make fire skills playable. At this point there should be zero reason to even touch fire and focus on Lightning/Cold instead.
How about fixing blood mage next? either remove life cost, or add 50% more spell damage to that node.
So now after spending all my time creating a COC/COS monk on my own and its not the best but it works, i get nerfed to ground and no free respec or anything game is hard enough without you guys fuuuucking me

The rework to energy generation is a massive, massive blow to any builds that were using it. Fair enough to have it rebalanced, but it's now effectively unusable. Any Sorc build that was using cast on freeze or Arcane Surge as a core ability is now basically bricked lol

It would have been good to know in advance that this kind of huge nurf was coming. I'm in the camp of those who don't have the resources to reskill, nor do I have the time to just 'drop everything and reroll a new character' ... so now I'm probably just not going to play EA, as much as I enjoy the game.

I really wish that big nurfs like this were communicated in advance, or that there was more willingness to provide full respecs.
do i have to grind 4 hours everytime there's a new patch to respec my whole tree

Yeah, this made my build completely unplayable and I can't even clear a T1 map as a blood mage because HP regen is bad, because vitality can't level at all.
Like, Did anyone even try a blood mage.. The lack of help getting HP back is getting horrible because we depend so much on a HP pot...

Ouch, changes need to be made but it's punishing to people who don't have a lot of time to invest into it. Maybe a full respec when nuking builds with a patch?
Very good job GGG, keep it up and please don't let yourself to be cried into mediocre compromise of a game.
