I have found these points to be unintuitive as well as glitchy. Honestly would rather they not be in the game at all.
I might not fully understand your question but I do find it weird that we choose points for weapon set 1 at all. Weapon set 1 is obviously going to be the main attack for basically everyone. I think it would make more sense if they just gave extra points just for weapon set 2. Also in my few attempts so far to use these points it seemed like you put some points in for set 1 and then the game forces you to put points in to set 2. Why? That is just annoying amd unintuitive. |

" Weird post. With weapon set points you get 1 point and you can either apply it to both weapon sets (just like literally any other passive point), or if you separate it to one set only, then you get an additional point to apply to the other set. You're not losing anything by the game "forcing" you to put points into set 2. And you can completely ignore weapon set points if you want to and just apply all your points to both sets. It's literally just a free extra option to make more unique builds with no downsides. |

" great reply btw and this is my point exactly why have it in th game if its not ment to give you extra for each weapon? because like you said in your reply "JUST HAVE ALL POINTS TO BOTH SETS" This is my confussion because im almost 100% sure Johnathan in the live stream said they were EXTRA BONUS POINTS to use TOWARDS a WEAPON SET.... i just cant remember what the live stream was i watched im not sure if it was a official POE one or a Streamer interview either way if you can have NORMAL PASSIVES go to BOTH WEAPONS then it literally serves ZERO point being in the game and just adds to confussion because why would anyone not want as much normal passives go to both weapons it makes zero sence UNLESS it granted a increased bonus IE normal passive going to both weapons (example) 10% increased crit ALLOCATED to 1 weapon slot 15% crit or 20% as you are taking the 10% away from the 2nd weapon slot as well..... this is why i wanted some clarification off the DEV's like stated in the video inase it was a bug.. because like i said Johnathan 100% said is was extra points to allocate with each weapon set but as it stands you can only use on exsisting points which makes no sence and have zero benefit to just put on 1 weapon set..... so no need for it to be in the game at all |

Hold X/A to apply passive to specific weapon sets...then go into skills and change the skill to either weapon set 1 or 2, Not both.
Example - Take crossbow reload speed weapon 1, grenade fuse time reduction weapon 2. go into skills and enable grenades to be used only with weapon set 2. And all other skills only used with set weapon 1. It's irksome but if you don't do this you'll end up using skills on the wrong weapon sets. |

" The reason you want them is for example to take the 2 hand weapon nodes on your 2 hand weapon in set 1, and then take the 1 hand weapon nodes for your one hand weapon in set 2. Then when you swap between them you aren't missing out on weapon specific stuff. This can be useful for example on the warrior. For best single target damage, you might want a weapon set with high stun buildup to stun bosses, but for multiple target damage you want lower stun buildup so you aren't one hit stunning mobs and have a chance to use your boneshatter ability. Or you might have one set do fire damage and one do physical etc. |

they dont work right. they screw the tree up. i dont use 2 weapons. yet it gets put into the one set i dont use and when i respec my tree it borks it. i cant tell what node is on what set... i only use 1 why can i even put the nothers in.

" What? If you don't use 2 weapon sets, then just apply the weapon set skill points like normal skill points? You don't have to use them, it's completely optional. |
|
" I didn't even know you could ignore it and use them normal lol. |
