Maces are sluggish but you can buff attack speed to ~3 hits p/s pretty easily for much improvement in terms of sluggishness. It works well with splash damage too.
But then you discover Heralds and it doesn't really matter any more if you can kill everything on the screen in one hit. At the end of the day people are always going to pick splash / AOE over single target damage for everything except bosses. |

I enjoyed leveling up as warrior. As for end game (just maps (and god forbid I even try rare maps) because of the obvious stated in this thread), it has to be the worst playable class in the game. Weakest and slowest class by far. I'm more surprised that it hasn't been adjusted yet by GGG considering it's the "warrior" class after all.

Lvl 96 crit titan. Can farm t3 deli and do high deli maps. And yes warrior is far from being in good shape. Armor is still dogshit (check the empirical formula). The clear, even in expensive builds is clunky. The class literally has no real way of mitigation against physical dot if you insist on playing in melee range, and do not use ranged skills like shield wall. The other option would be Hp stacking (> 4000) but you need to pay premium for a stacked body armor. Capping res, balancing dps and defence is viable but if you are going for off-meta build (rain bringer-crit in my case) you wont be able to stack much rarity. Yes, the combat is meaningful,using multi skill combos can be quite satisfying at times. But the currency drop is shit which adds insult to injury. I thought fat cheeks Jon's meaningful combat would be rewarding for the players who opt in for the vision. It turned out quite the opposite.
