Spacebar Simulator?
I don't understand this mechanic at all.
I thought POE2 advertised itself as a ARPG. Why is it seeming to be an isometric platformer where hitting the spacebar at the right time is the entire basis of boss combat? Further, dodging seems antithetical to any archetype of class within an RPG not devoted to agility/dexterity. So I kindly ask: Why is my necromancer rolling around in the dirt? Ya I agree, rolling is trash. I don't play ARPGs to roll a crushing blow.
I play ARPGs to blink teleport / absorb it with magic / absorb it with my face or shield / dodge it like a ninja were I don't even move my feet and just laugh in the face of my enemy while he swings. Like, however I built my character to destroy that nub. I'm sure POE2 will get there, and I'm certain they just want to slow drip it. But I really hope they change their mind on rolling. I don't think it's a good mechanic. It honestly turned me off of the whole "Souls" genre. |

Were playing pretty much Elden Ring PoE lol, the movement in general sucks.... i talk about this in some forums and people just say get good, odd ive played and beaten every dark souls game like and elden ring.... but playing a ARPG with many classes 12 in total when full release that they all have the same movement speed power walk and and dodge power walk and dodge.. surprise everyone is ok with power walk and dodge... lol

Once your build comes online you dont really need to. And boss fights dont take 5 minutes.
Game plays identical to poe 1 in maps/endgame just no movement abilities and no quicksivser It feels bad early because everything 1 shots you and takes longer to kill. |

Iam currently mapping even with a good build , iam still power walking and dodging lol... power walking and dodging lol...... though iam a monk and can zip to a enemy and staff staff um to death and zip away iam still power walking and dodging most things...... lol

I remember when I played Demon Souls. I was looking for a challenge and I never played a game like that before. It was cool.
Then when they were advertising Dark Souls, all I could think was "Rolling was kind of OP, I'll be really excited if they balance the game a little better." I was thinking of all the exciting and more natural ways they could improve the controls. But... it really didn't change all that much or get much better. They peaked as far as I'm concerned. I would love to see KCD2 get it right. |

" All classes in PoE 2 are dual class with monk. Hence the perfect dodge roll to avoid fiery blasts. 8 mod maps are the new alch and go.
